Soviets attack

pocket Broken against the regiment. Regiments love to retreat. Soviets like to fatigue themselves in the attack Nice attack Bobo. Pocket in the North open.

Had to chuckle on this one. But just another precursor to taking this to intermediate level defense.

Armor and Mech raced 9 hexes to my line, attacked a regiment, and ran back to defense cover. LOLOLOL Nice

Center pocket opened 1 of 2

The Soviets did two attacks in conjunction to open this pocket. Not overly hard against regiments. At least my fighters here intercepted but at range for the interception.

Soviet run in attack and run back. At least they fatigue themselves. I do go out of my way to find those units when my line consolidates because they are easy candidates to attack if left on the front line.

Soviets seem to be just out of range of my fighters for this. Oh well.

Although the range is at the edge of my 109E and my 109F has ample range on the 3 squadrons at that airbase. I have to be doing something wrong not to intercept the Long Range bombers during the day or I am missing something with them. Probably something simple. Not a single interception on the 6 interdicted bombed hexes.

Pocket in South opened up

GD got overwhelmed and forced to retreat. At least my fighters intercepted here!!!!

Notice again my horrid combat value devaluation GAH! Bobo had 5 attacks against regiments and all 5 were successful My luck absolutely suxs.

Will just continue to move forward and just redo the pockets this turn on the 3 that were opened.

Talked to a sage(someone wiser than me in WITE2) on the interception of the Soviet "Long Range Bombers". Makes sense on why some of my fighters aren't intercepting. Hopefully have the solution now if Crazy Ivan comes back on a mad hatter bombing trip now

Sure!!! I am sure he wont mind. If he does he definitely deserves the credit.

First I like to thank M60, "Thank you M60" whom gave this to me.

Quote; "Intercept missions are much less likely to take place in the air phase compared to the ground phase. During the air phase, think in terms of your planes on the ground ready to launch when the phone call comes in to take to the air. If the opposing enemy bombers only fly close to the edge of the battle area, they drop their bombs and are in safe airspace before your planes arrive. If the opposing planes fly deeper into your territory, the chance of a successful intercept improves accordingly.

Try setting up an AS mission in the area of your attacking spearheads to fly in the enemy phase. In effect what you are doing is placing fighters actually into that area when the enemy arrives."

Going to be awhile on the air phase since I have mass movements of Fighters, bombers, and recon aircraft this turn everywhere except the Odessa area since those planes are in place for Naval interdiction. I have to think things out for Ground Support for random Soviet attacks on my regiments, also where my Air Superiority needs to be at. What to recon. I do want the center to link Center and South so that is my focus this Air phase. Everywhere else is just an additional nicety to what Army Group Center accomplishes . Also have to set up all my Naval interdiction this turn.

I love doing this but hate it at the same time. Should be done later tonight with the air phase

Ya, Bobo loves to move units out of pockets with his Air transportation. He did it to me earlier in this game with an Inf Division I had surrounded. I am assuming he did the same thing here with either an Armor or Mech division under a certain ToE. Thus the tank losses. I am assuming he took it from #1 and flew it to #2. Now that I am privy to what M60 shared with me I am reorganizing my whole Axis air force to bring up all my fighters to lay down AS's. They all won't be in place this turn but will by turn 7. I have been just too lazy on doing this. Going to take this serious now.

Plus come to think about it, should not an Armor or Mech "not" be transportable considering all the heavy tanks? Any expert can comment on this? Please. Or they lost all of their equipment to be transportabale...

This is my mess I currently have that I care to show. Will get the Rumanians better engaged & bring up the Hungarians & Slovakians too. That way I will have all in my arsenal for use. Gotta stop half-assing things in the game
