(1) Scattered throughout the previous narratives for this turn is the assessment and resolution of current war directives.

(2) Where possible and where it makes sense, WAR directives are assessed and closed at the end of each turn.

(3) There will be exceptions, in which cases a small subset of WAR directives will remain open and carried forward.

(4) Well, it's a small subset for everyone except the USA, which are currently using their WAR directives more as action items related to US Entry and garrisons.

(5) However; for the remaining major powers, all of which are active (except Free & Vichy France which do not currently exist), WAR directives are used for strategic guidance across active theaters for the current turn.

(6) As such, they are assessed, graded and closed as appropriate.

(7) The below chart summarizes WAR Directives after this phase (i.e., assessed, graded & closed).

(8) The Active grade once meant something in which in previous games I kept many directives opened for many turns.

(9) However; the way I'm using them now, "Active Grade" no longer means anything.

(10) In fact, I'll probably be removing that column (i.e., Active Grade) and replace "Closed Grade" with just Grade, which will still be a grade of those WAR directives that have been closed.

(11) The "Closed Grade" soon to become only "Grade" is an accurate reflection, I believe, of how well each major power is doing.

(1) War directives can be issued at any point in the turn that makes senses.

(2) However; the majority of WAR directives will be issued at the very start of each turn in order to provide strategic direction for all major powers, and alliances, prior to any action (e.g., resource lending, reinforcements, initiative).

(3) The way I'm using WAR directives is as my Strategic Human AI (SHAI), which issues "orders" to theaters and production Human AIs (i.e., THAI, PHAI).

(4) There were 40 new WAR Directives issued and 20 carrier forward for a total of 60 active.
