The Open Air Museum was Thursday, our last full day there. Hour and a half drive back to Honiara and John dropped me off at hotel for the night. Friday is going to be only a half day as we will be heading back to Brisbane in the afternoon.

Each night would be a stop at the Point Cruz Yacht Club. Sorta the HQ for non-locals living on the island. Me to the left, John Innes(who knows every thing about the battle)center and John Warden who showed me around the first three days. Innes is going to escort me Friday morning.

Since I am showing photos of the gang, here is my lovely wonderfull wife Kim. With out her understanding of my long time hobby of studying military history, none of this would of been possible. Here she is during her part of the trip in front of the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains which are just West of Sydney.

I take it you drove In Austraila, thats is rented a car?...If so how was it, Gas prety bad their ?

Yes, we drove around and from Canberra to the Blue Mountains and then on to Sydney. We had a rental for three days. They sold gas by the liter, have no idea what that meant by the gallon, it seemed expensive but that was back in June.
