Haiphong has a fortress with an AV of 27. Probably Hue, Touran and Quinhon are ungarrisoned or have perhaps an airfield support unit. JJ will recognize the threat but it will take a while to get a force there.

KB is unspotted for 3 days...my guess is they are headed for the Solomons or Coral Sea. Have to get the heavy stuff out of there pretty quickly.

Aliquots: A more standard definition is small amounts of something, usually added incrementally to a reaction to obtain an effect. As in 'titer to effect by addition of an aliquot'.

Nine-dashed line is the over-stated line of the Chinese Communist party that identifies what part of the South China Sea is 'theirs'. It encroaches on most of the other nations in the South China Sea region that claim territorial waters and so forth. It is generally disregarded by most international treaties due to its excessive claims.
