Hi Per,

Right now, I'm playing the role of Michael Keaton ("Mr. Mom") while my wife rakes in the big bucks. We'll almost certainly move to San Antonio, but the question is 'when'? It's unrealistic (I think) to get the house on the market in the next 3 months for the Spring 2014 market. More realistic is next year's (2015) market. I think that's what we're gunning for-but I've only been at this 'job' one week. What the **** do I know? [:D]

ETA: I turned down the very interesting job offer in Pennsylvania. Were I single, it would have been a different choice. But, at some point, family means more than money / an interesting job.

Life is a trip-I would have never uttered that expression a handful of years ago. But now it seems...genuinely true.

Everything is okay.

Having a calm period before the next course starts in the end of February.

Weatherwise, we're probably going to get "official" winter tomorrow, as the mean temperature has been below zero for a week straight then. Very little snow, just a few centimeters. Otherwise, as I've said before, we have had the warmest winter in almost a century. Feels a little strange after two straight very harsh winters.

Went to a train show this last weekend with the family in Louisville, KY. Had a great time. Visited with old friends. Family got to see some sights.

Came up with a WitP:AE themed idea for a module. Even though the Doolittle raid is not modeled in the game, thought of modeling the Hornet loading up B-25Bs at Alameda. I model N scale (1:160) and there is a 1:200 Hornet kit out there that comes with 16 B-25Bs. It is 4 feet long! It will dwarf everything and give a great perspective to anyone who has not seen, or been close to a large ship. Now, to convince the wife to let me spend almost $400 on the kit...

And, I will leave the INP to someone else.

I love the idea, Mike! Port scenes are some of my favorites for model railroads. If you mix in a CV, it's 1000% better! I guess you would need to make it at least a 6 foot module instead of the typical 4 foot NTrak module to allow room for Hornet. I'm looking forward to seeing it. [8D]

I lost 4 pounds since yesterday!

I'm on a new diet for the last 48 hours. It's the "Pending colonoscopy" diet. No food for 48 hours and you medically induce a case of the ***** that would make dysenterics blush.

I *did* have the forethought to mix in 6 oz. of vodka into the gallon of stuff I had to drink though. It helped take the edge off a bit. I figured "well, if I can't eat and I'll have the ****s for the next two days, I may as well get a little buzz goin' too."

Long familial history (mom's side) of colorectal cancer. So I'm being screened at 45 instead of the usual 50. As my health insurance will be transitioning at the end of the month, I figured I'd get as many prophylactic or routine procedures "under my belt" as I possibly could.

Get it? "Under my belt"? [:D]

Anyways, probably TMI. But a reminder of those of you out there with familial history of colorectal cancer or precancerous polyps to get screened after age 50. Once every 5 years is the going recommendation, I believe.

Good on you for being proactive, Andre! I have no family history, but my doc is recommending it at 50 anyway. 2 years and 4 months to go. [:D]

Had my first one three years ago. Found three polyps. I thought they were going to have me come in again this year. No one called. whew!

Give her a $400 gift card to her favorite store... yes you're out twice as much, but it's worth it.

Trust me.

Any time I want something, Liz gets a nice giftcard to Target. That, and they can't steal our debit/credit card number again.

My wife had women's night last night. I had a free evening right?

She took my truck so I'd have the car with the car seats in case I needed to go anywhere with the boys.

They were out at 8 without any problems. She didn't come home till 11:30 - my laptop was in my truck the whole time...[:(]

That, and we didn't even do anything "fun" when she got home...
