I think your aim is off again, Schani. I think Nash will be too far north to see any frozen precip from this next round. We are right on the verge of 2-4 inches tomorrow evening and night. Half of the city is in full panic mode and half (us) are preparing for a party!

Going to the store during the storm is the best time. Great parking and no lines.

I think its funny to watch Southerners go into panic mode when faced with a couple inches of snow. [:D]
Lemme guess-bottled water, bread, toilet paper and milk all gone from the stores? Y'all call out the National Guard yet?

Andre, everyone will be on mandatory French Toast rations. The grocery stores will be empty of bread, milk, and eggs. [:D]
The store closest to my house will be out of beer and wine. [;)]

And, I am a born and raised Yankee from Western NY (Home of 150" of snow a year). I stay away from grocery stores during such times. I just make sure I have a weeks worth of food in the house. In Western NY in the winter we always kept 2-3 weeks of food in the house, as you could get snowed in, out in the country, for a week or more.

Got home on Friday to discover the furnace not working. Twenty hours and $760 later, back on line. Fortunately, the weather outside was a balmy 22F. Discovered sleeping with a Great Dane in the bed is no fun. Good news, we found out he can wear my sweat shirt.

Louisvillan - no damage to the structure downstairs, I hope! Give Ben my best. He really is a sweetheart.

The structure is designed for furnace access. Takes just 15 minutes to open. Fortunately, it was just the blower motor that needed replacement. Ben is sweet, but I'm happier with him sleeping on the couch.

Having the furnace go out in late January is never good. Glad you got it back up and running quickly!

Here at the Defense Academy there are quite a lot of civilian students studying political science alongside all the different military courses.
There is, of course, quite a lot of good natured and friendly taunts exchanged between the military and the civilian sides. Today, this showed up at one of the info boards. It thought it was quite funny so I thought I would share;
