Neither am I Kwik E. There's a lot of stupid, ignorant, and arrogant people over here with net access and time on their hands. I'm sure the Euro folks have the same.ORIGINAL: Kwik E Mart

When things go south, rhetoric goes up. We owe it to our Thread brethren, in those far away lands, to show them there's some thoughtful and practical Americans out there. Our concepts of liberty and freedom allow the whackos more room to spread their bile. The rest of us are just too busy doing what we need to do to get by. So the whackos get higher billing because they have the time and inclination, and our media can sell more commercials reporting on hate and madness than reporting on fact and perspective.
I truly hope our Euro Thread brethren will not judge Americans on the basis of net vapors; but rather on the basis of who you are, Kwik E, and who I am, and what we think, and how we engage. Because, after all, we are Americans, too.
Ciao. John

At the same time that our young men are fighting and dying in Afghanistan in the name of defending our democratic way of life, these pond life decide that smashing up their communities and committing murder, is the right way to use that freedom [8|]
As I sit here watching my country being torn apart in a mindless orgy of violence, I feel anger, helplessness and utter hatred for these excuses for human beings. I find myself thinking how sweet it would be - just for a few days - to suspend democracy and let these scumbags know exactly what living in a police state would feel like.

With the added advantage(?) that I can understand them on the TV when they vainly try to justify their actions. There's already the usual demands for the military to be called in from some sections. I'm assuming they're not meaning the RAF techies either...
Watercannons and good old fashioned beatings I say. If you're running around London (or Liverpool/Bristol/Manchester) wearing a facemask with the contents of Dixons or PC World under your arm you're deserving of a good kicking. And why, for the love of everything, do they deem it acceptable to throw bricks at the fire service (and probably ambulances)? Perhaps we can reopen HM Prison Van Diemen's Land again.

The mountains or...? By the way, neither my wife or daughter are in these pics, I know what a bunch of pervs hang out on this board.
Warspite, believe me, I feel your pain. I see what is happening in England and in Europe, from afar. I wish to God there was something I could do or say but I can't.ORIGINAL: warspite1
