I remember reading Obvert vs Jocke, who was quite comfortable losing ships like this if the landing went thru, but in Jocke's case it was Korea.

His air wing is gone and he probably has decent disablement. If your troops are in supply I would consider an attack, maybe even a shock attack. It might clear the beaches.

If he tries to stay for another day his transport fleet will be gone if the KB doesnt kill it anyway.

Well done! I think you really have given the Allies a mortal blow this time. The fact you are still winning these devastating one sided victories into 1945 means the Allies probaby will be stuck until the Soviets active. DoccuP should have known better than to risk everything in a big leap like this when his superiority at sea as far from a reality in a battle where the weight of LBA was on your side. A recipe for disaster and the disaster is unfolding as we speak. 700 AV with a level 6 forts is far too tough a nut to crack.

Uhm, why would anyone put CVEs on the front line is beyond me. Paper-thin armor or lack thereof, even a 15kg GP bomb will penetrate deck/sides/tower.

I´m pretty sure no sailors were hurt in the strike besides pixel ones... [;)]

Thing is with the CVEs that you get a gazillion of them. So they are expendable and I don´t think DOCUP have many fleet CVs left now? Besides, in this case the only difference would have been sunk CVs instead of CVEs. Even if konius strike would have been half the size of what it was it would have annihilated anything floating.
