Interesting. I think Dan sent a scouting party to assess the defenses at Hakodate. Wouldn't have wanted to be in that PT flotilla. All six go under after running though a minefield and being used for night target practice by the Fortress guns.
One of the Bihoro bombardments also takes eom decent shots against the old BBs. Nice!
A decent day in the air. His forward CAP at Kushiro? About 9 old first gen Corsairs and a 28 plane group of FM-2. The little buggers are tough, but we still got better than 2-1 on the day and bombed nearby troops. If that is Kushiro's CAP, I'm very curious about Allied pools now. [;)]
