They realized you were too sickly to send to the South Atlantic in the middle of winter?

Pretty much. I'm getting semi-regular loss of circulation and feeling in my right hand, it's worse in the cold and the South Atlantic in July is not too warm. So rather than risk actually doing some serious damage (my concern) or leaving the MoD open to a lawsuit (their concern) I'm not going.

Busy day here today.

Easter’s coming up, April 20. Found a great Orthodox church, St. Athanasios, in Gulf Shores. It has a real Russian priest. He actually does part of the liturgy in Slavonic; the choir is small, but said to be quite good. They do the blessing of the baskets, and then the contents are shared. Sounds like just the place. Ciao. J

My Saturday consisted of digging up and removing three tree stumps for my wife. Yesterday wasn't so bad, but today, I am paying for it... Good thing for Tylenol!
