For the 900 millionth time, I'm NOT of Viking stock.
Viking stock is terrible. It takes too much time to simmer the bones off and it needs too much salt to be palatable.

Hi all,

I personally know the designer and main programmer of "Serious Sam" (and I knew his first project - it was footbal DOS game [:D])... but I never played nor liked "Serious Sam" game...
May I inquire as to why? Was it a timing thing, reflecting on what your area had recently been through?
I simply never liked... for me it was just another FPS (and I stopped playing those until Crysis)...
Leo "Apollo11"
Serious Sam was created along the lines of the original Doom, only with even more Tongue in Cheek approach. It's purposely meant to be plot-less to the point of superficialness. The game's main focus is utter, massive carnage, putting as many enemies onto the screen as your PC can handle. A modern equivilent would be the PainKiller series. More advanced and it had a nice horror element to it.....but underneath when it came to gameplay it was modeled after Serious Sam.....aka.....hordes of enemies all rushing at you while you run and slaughter.....or stand and slaughter, or run, stand, jump and slaughter....till the hordes pull you down.
Never played the original SS....but i did play SS-2 and it was "amusing" enough....but no ahem...."serious" plot worth mentioning....just KILL KILL KILL. Good for an after-stressful day at work.

IIRC, I enjoyed Serious Sam for the double minigun adaptors. The chainsaw-like sound of dual miniguns and unlimited ammo cut through bomb-laden zombie heads (and my daily stress level) like a knife through so much zombie butter.
Mmmmm....zombie butter...
BRAINS! [:D]

Ehhh...buying opportunity
not to sound too crass, but calling this a buying opportunity is like calling a bachelorettte party of 9 gorgeous, half-drunk single women a buying opportunity, except i don't have a prophylactic and all the stores are closed...(and yes, i know there are vending machines in rest stop men's rooms, but that's dodgy and i've heard those things are of questionable quality) [;)]

Only if "Leo" really is Merkel or Sarkozy. It wouldn't matter anyways, as the markets are scarcely listening to their exhortations, pleas and opinions.

Hi all,

Best of Luck Robert! [:)]
P.S.
We heard that Modric will not play due to some small injury... I think this is still Chelsea-Tottenham game with transfer (he can't play for Spurs if he wants to play in Europe for Chelsea)...
Is that true?
Warspite1
I think its very convenient that Modric did not play, when added to Harry Redknapp's softening stance - he is now saying we may have to let him go etc. This seems to have coincided with Chelsea saying they are not sure if they will make another bid.
Personally I think Fabregas has crystallised the issue. His price tag has "set the bar". If he is worth £30m + £5m add-ons, why would Chelsea pay the same for Modric? Spurs probably feel they have pushed Chelsea about as high as they can go - maybe a couple of mill more, but no less.
I am convinced now that he will go though.
We here also think it was "the play" all along (one side wanted more money - the other side tried to pay less but upped its bidding in time)...
Also Tottenham played very nice abroad an won 5:0 even without Modric! [:)]
BTW, how did Kranjcar play? Did you watch the game Robert?
Leo "Apollo11"
Warspite1
I didn't see the match as I was out for a curry and beers [:)] last night, and my daughter didn't set the recorder [&:]
Apparently Krancjar ran the show and was man of the match, but Hearts were simply not at the races all evening. I still would prefer Krancjar and Jenas to go.
Really sad to see just how great the gulf has become between the English and Scottish
leagues. Scottish football is dire [:(]
