OTH? It's in database, but purpose remain unknown.
From Australian source suggests for anti-propaganda, which can use HF/VHF/UHF to jam radio broadcastings that could reach China, to propagate anti-CCP messages.
Or maybe a part of the ELINT system. Remember the CVN venturing SCS in early March? China is definitely listening everything they could gathering, even it's encrypted.
EDIT: Or... If you believe China is also playing conspiracies, based on this:

[UPDATED DB v443]
In database RVV-BD (aka R-37M) have range 220nm this is wrong
In normal conditions(lauch from 12km against inbound target) max range of RVV-BD is 200km , from "Vympel" site
http://vympelmkb.com/products/rvv-bd-ra ... ozduh/170/ in russian
But on trials Mig-31 with RVV-BD from height ~20km, hit target at 304êì
In 1997 R-37(izd610) change seeker from 9B-1388

to 9B-1103M-350 and became R-37M (izd 610M)
also there is "Izdeliye 810" extreme long range anti-air missile for PAK-FA bays with 400km range, target max altitude 40km ,this missile is "fat" RVV-BD, as "fat" as it can while still can fit into PAK-FA bays
from General Designer of JSC "GMKB" Vympel " Sokolowski G.A. at the Jubilee Scientific and Technical Conference "Aviation system in the XXI century" :
"In the area of long-range weapons of "Vympel" is working on the modernization of R-37 missiles. As part of the pilot project on a competitive basis based on the
izd. 610M(RVV-BD,aka R-37M) developed new izd. 810. This missile should be placed in the inner compartments. Range increased by 1.5 times, altitude targets up to 40 km. power unit work time - 360 seconds."
so, can you please :
-change range of RVV-BD(R-37M) to 200km
-add new weapon ,RVV-BD(R-37M) for Mig-31BM with range 300km ,ARH seeker with range 40km ,and place this instead of RVV-BD(R-37M) in Mig-31BM loadouts
-change seeker range in RVV-BD(R-37M) to 40km
-maybe add izd.810 to PAK-FA?

[ALREADY THERE]
Requesting that the SeaRam be added to the Arleigh Burkes, or perhaps just a sub-class USS Porter (DDG-78) since it appears at the moment that only the four ships forward deployed to Spain will have it installed.
The Navy successfully launched the Raytheon SeaRAM Anti-Ship Missile Defense System from an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer for the first time ever on March 4, a final step in rapidly fielding a self-defense capability on the Mediterranean-based USS Porter (DDG-78) through an unconventional acquisition process.
Porter last week went through structural test firings to ensure a shield would properly protect the ship from the SeaRAM blast, followed by tracking exercises to verify the accuracy of the detect-to-engage sequence. Finally, on Friday the Navy had its first-ever live fire test of a SeaRAM from a DDG, which took place on a Spanish Navy test range in the Mediterranean.
I can't post links yet, but it's from an article on USNI.

Future US frigate.
There's good chance this could be changed and the OTH missile is TBD. But could this be added?

We added the add weapons, sensors and mags for this reason. Fact this particular ship might be exactly why we did it.[:)]

[UPDATED DB v443]
I have a question about the AN/SLQ-32. Is the AN/SLQ-32(6) the name for the new SEWIP version? If so in the DB the AN/SLQ-32(6) on the DDG 112 is described as late 1980s technology. Isn't it much updated from the prior version and shouldn't it be late 2010s technology?

Just posted the .ini file text to the catalog of modified platforms thread. The sensors and weapons are all in the database, so the modification was simple. FF 1
Freedom still has limited air defense, but she now has a potent anti-surface punch and a better sensor package than her LCS incarnation. Not perfect but definitely an improvement.

Some F-35-related suggestions:
1. External short-range 24x and long-range 16x SDB and SDB II loadouts
Thanks for your input Desron, do you know if this will be an operational loadout?
I don't know if this will be an operational loadout. I'm extrapolating from:
+
Cobham BRU-61/A Small Diameter Bomb Carriage System brochure
"Currently in service on F-15E with integration ongoing on F/A-22, F-35, and F-16."
+ March 4-11/14: FY15 Budget/ R&D via
http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/ray ... ion-06510/
“The Joint Miniature Munitions Bomb Rack Unit (JMM BRU) is an Air Force (AF) led ACAT III program. It is required for the Department of the Navy’s (DoN) carriage of the SDB II weapon in the internal bay of the F-35B and F-35C…. The BRU-61/A, currently in production in the AF, does not meet the needs to operate with SDB II within the F-35 internal bay in the DoN environment. The JMM BRU, designated BRU-61A/A, fills the capability gap….”
+ 2x stations for BRU-61/A (9/3) in long-range configuration and 4x stations for BRU-61/A (10/9/3/2) from the diagram on
http://theaviationist.com/2015/01/16/f- ... ons-suite/
+ 4x SDB-II per BRU-61/A
Note that at 1460 lb loaded, the BRU-61/A + 4x SDB-II barely fits under the STOVL weight requirement on the outboard A/G pylons (10/2), so it might be possible to see F-35B with 16x external SDB-II prior to the F-35B modifications for internal SDB-II carriage.
Will work on getting more info about AARGM-ER.

[TEXT DESCRIPTION ERROR, NOT DATABASE ERROR. CONTACT DB DESCRIPTION GROUP]
Just a minor problem I noted. In the database when looking at information on the CBU-59 APAM, the information is for the Hawk anti-aircraft missile instead of the bomb.

Does anybody have any information on a Russian aircraft active towed decoy system? The export version is named President-S but not sure what the native name is. I know it was tested in 2007 on a Mig-31 but don't know if it ever went operational. Could one of our good Russian friends look into this abit (Triode)?
Thanks!

It was locally called Blesna, according to the only source from AW. It means 'Lure' in Russian.

"Part" of President-S is ABRL

ABRL
Active towed radar trap (ABRL)
Active towed radar trap ABRL is designed to provide personal protection of aircraft in the front and / or rear hemispheres against guided missiles with radar homing by retargeting missiles at attacking towed trap.
Basic tactical and technical characteristics
Frequency range - centimetric
Gain, dB - 60-70
Energy potential, W - 3-12
Protection Sector in the front (PPP)
and rear (LPP) hemispheres, deg .:
azimuth from +60 to -60
elevation from 22.5 to -22.5
Time of work, minutes 5-10
Time of work at each start, sec 7-10
Weight, kg 5
The length of the tow cable, m 150
power from an aircraft
http://niiekran.ru/prod_abrl.php in russian
In pre serial production from end of 2015, RSC "MiG" want it for MiG-35
Do you have pictures of this Mig-31 with towed decoy system?
there is also "Blesna" and "Blesk" older towed decoy systems not connected to President-S

Hypothetical swedish supersonic nuclear bomber Saab 36. Project was cancelled but would be fun to try out in a hypothetical scenario.
