Allied Turn 18, Jun 1966 -

The victory level is now +6 Allied favor.  There has only been on VC activation per turn for the last 4 turns.  I was hit hard the previous month but my already in-country forces were able to handle the increased activity.  With those positive markers, I've decided to cease the economic aid program to South Vietnam.  I'll choose the option this turn but the way the events are set up I'll get one more EEV point added before it terminates.

Larry's offensive extends into this turn, but I'm able to restore order with 3 rounds of combat.

All those red dots you see in the zoomed-out view, except for the Border Guards on the border,
are me running around blowing bridges and attacking stuff and generally making a nuseince
( how do you spell nusince ? ) of myself:

Allied Turn 19, July 1966 -

Larry keeps up the pressure as the monsoons roll into town, but my forces are able to meet the threat.  A couple VC survived in the Delta but that's just because I chose to attack with understrength forces.  I coulda/shoulda brought more force to bear.

I just walked over to Phuoc Lee and overran the occupants and captured the
village. I won't be able to hold onto it for long I suspect. Other than this
one village I've been disbanding my stuff all over the map inside South Vietnam.
