I'm not sure that is the problem, but you should do that anyway ... are you trying a small scenario or GC ? Ae - patched ?

can i downgrade from 64bit to 32 bit.... anyone knows?

I believe that if you install the 32bit after the 64 bit(just not first), it should work ... otherwise you need to uninstall java and then reinstall ... but remember that the Java latest release doesn't work ...

i manually picked a java 32 bit version, but alas, the b still doesn't want to initialize.

I've run across an error in witpStaff0.8. In my game, I changed the HQ of Noumea. When I tried to load the turn into witpStaff, the dialog box states that "Base Noumea has changed hands." and I get the following error message:

Delete the DB again ... try try again ...

Sorry, I don't look after Staff ... I'm a Tracker dev that helps out this thread too, so I guess you'll have to wait for Marcus(Woo's) to come along and have a look. Post a save, and let MichealM see ... or you're back to ...

I'll try deleting and re-creating the db. If it does the job, I'll let you know.

Did a google search on this 2753 regutils.dll error and there seems to be many ppl in your boat regarding uninstalling Java. I'd be searching the Java forums before downloading any registry checkers though ...

Often I find reinstalling a program (even if you already have it) aka 6.18 and then try again to uninstall sometimes works well ...

Reinstall didn't work but with 6.18 still installed I then installed 6.17 successfully. I then uninstalled 6.18. Witpstaff then works though it cannot load saves since the 1097 install(no problem with previous saves). I'll try it with a new game.

For those with a bit of PC savvy, you can download the JAVA JRE for u17 (jre-6u17-windows-i586.exe from SUN Java) and install it as a separate installation by selecting "Change Destination Folder" in the lower left of the Java install screen.
Click 'Install' and continue with the installation and it will install this version of JAVA in C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_17 on your PC.

Then go to the Witpstaff directory in AE and edit the file 'witpStaff.bat' and change the java line to:
C:\"Program Files"\Java\jre1.6.0_17\bin\java -Djava.library.path=. -jar witpdecoder2.jar
and save it. The ""s are needed because of the space between Program and Files.

Clicking on this will now run with java version 17 and you wont get the 'DATE' error.

Any programs that use JAVA will still work with the latest version (18).

One thing that would be very handy would be a report that lists what convoys are bound to/from any given base.&nbsp; I think this would simplify getting logistics set up more efficiently.
