Axis, March 24th, 1942

All of Europe is now in Axis hands.. all? no wait, there remains a small village close to the sea where the Druid Stalinix brews a miracle draught from mistletoe. (for those who remember the Asterix cartoons)

March 24, 1942 : The depressed couriers never made it back to HQ with the situation maps this week, and in truth no one missed them much. These last hold outs mourn the loss of the last Allies.

Axis, April 1st, 1942

When the German commander reported back home on the ratio of units involved on both sides and the amount (lack) of progress made, it was considered to be an April fools day joke at first. Now we have to worry about the prospects and continuous employment of yours truly in his current capacity.

Chuck,

thank you for a great game that was much more challenging thanks to your tenacious and stubborn defense than you make us believe. I admire you for your spirit to go through the game at full length despite the loss of the US which tilted the situation quite a bit in the Axis favor. But you showed how one can achieve the most with little.

With regards,
Cornel

Cornel,

I enjoyed it too, and learned quite a bit. Wargamers need to learn how to fight in a losing cause, as well as steering a steamroller.

If they had a body they would be giving you both a standing ovation.

Great work!

An excellent AAR of a thrilling game. I doubt that anybody following this unfolding tale will fail to learn several lessons.
