Well, SireChaos has been neutered and won't be doing any Sireing with the lasses any longer. And there won't be a ourland Pocket, lol, they were smashed straight away. What does he fill this great void with? He can't send the Romanians or Hungarians that far north. Maybe he can convince the Bulgarians to enter the war and bring their long-johns with them, lawl.[;)] And pray his Panzers regenerate to an effective level before '44.
Smashing success. How he didn't see the danger before him, I've no idea.
Thanks for the compliments [:)] As I see it, the solution was easy... BREAK DOWN the AGN divisions (if you're not going to capture Leningrad)! Sure, a regiment is weaker but the point is:
1) there will NOT be gaps
2) if -despite the lack of holes- I still want to attack -because regiments seem easy targets- I should bring the same many STAVKA reserves... which might be needed elsewhere: Western, Southwestern, etc. Fronts... In other words, perhaps I could not afford this operation (what would be the prize if I succeed?)...

Amazing. You will have wiped out AGN at this rate before the blizzard even hits. I dont know how he will plug the large gaps in his line now; maybe a strategic retreat across the entire front to shorten the line.
I think you may well have 'killed' the 1941 axis offensive

I guess I killed this game [:(] I did not want to believe the other people when they said this thing was over. I always thought -until the last moment- he would finally secure and protect ONCE FOR ALL his right flank... I was utterly wrong, they were right, end of the story [8D]

Well... I thought the above message would be the last message of this AAR [8D] I had sent my turn to Sire Chaos the last sunday. Guess what, I have received an email today with the next turn attached [X(] He does not surrender, so the pic below will not be necessary [:D]

Turn 16

2 october 1941
As I have said, he does not surrender... well, this time yes, I asked him why he did not protect his right flank and allowed me to create that big mess. His answer has been rather cryptic: "
I am playing the Germans. In ยด41, I think in terms of destroying, not in terms of being destroyed". Almost exactly what Starbuck said some moons ago! In fact, he hasn't answered my question at all! [8D] Oh well...

Well, as for the Massacre Zone, he has finally secured this [AGN] front! A bit too late but... Now no gaps worth that name. I guess many of my units should be leaving this area (after the killing is 100% done that is: 5 divisions + 2 SS brigades hehehe) and used elsewhere. Anyway, He is apparently weak near my northwest barricade... I might try something there.

It is important to not be overconfident; your average units are still just at 35-45 experience, 40-50 morale, and his are still 75/80+ exp/morale. The losses he took, and your current carpet deployment, mean he can't push your perimeter close back to Leningrad, but he can still cause you to retreat/rout a lot of times.

Near Smolensk, he's finally captured the town [8D]

Yes, I know Randall [:)] But these little pushes cannot hurt me that much now. Gimme the mud & blizzard and then roll me on honey and throw me to the girls

His AGC panzers are on the move again near Kursk. I guess he desperately wants to form some sort of pocket and swallow let's say minimum 20 of my divisions [:D] And capture Kursk in the process.

And the southern part of the Southwestern Front. The panzers are moving here as well [8D]

And the Southern Front. Status Quo! I don't think a cavalry raid is going to be possible here. He should have now the divisions that were storming Odessa. We will see.

And here is the consequence of the last turn massacre: I have captured
105.000 enemy soldiers (I had only captured humm like 2.000 men before) [&o]
EDIT: oops, and don't forget I will be swallowing [this turn, in theory] 5 more divisions and 2 SS brigades.

No problem [8D] Divisions annihilated: two Panzer, one Motorized, two Infantry; brigades: two SS. Somehow the losses have been updated. Now I have captured
181.000 fascist enemies [:)] The killing is finally done.

Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuufffffff!! [&:] I am happy with the previous massacres but I am totally overwhelmed now. I look at the Leningrad, Northwest and Kalinin Fronts and all I see is a miasma of sh*t! [X(] Totally chaotic! I must rationalize my command here. AND NOW!

Ok, this is more or less what I want up north! [8D]

i see you have infantry divisions manning the Finnish No attack line. You should use all security regiments and then naval infantry brigades. With their TOE MAX set to 50%. You have some SEC near Leningrad which should be on the Leningrad line.
BTW you wont then need an army HQ for the no attack line manned by SEC regiments and Naval Brigades, attach them all to STAVKA to free up command potential.
Volkhov front arrives soon.... so then your STAVKA Armies can change over. An extra 250 AP's when the new front arrives is always nice.

Hmm no [:)] On another thread I asked what were the historical forces sent by the Soviets to this line. Someone gave me that information. There were at least 3 or 4 infantry divisions. I do the same. As I see it
Fair Play above all. I could put these 3 or 4 divisions to good use somewhere else? Yes, indeed. But that would be gamey (to me that is) [8D] I do the same north of Leningrad by the way. I could have kept
only fortified regions or security regiments. But there are I think 3 divisions (along with small units).

You mean the 7th and 23rd armies, I guess. They will stay there (I am a history freak) [:)]

The Volkhov Front will be between the Leningrad and Northwest Fronts (as per history).
