Okay........I'm in possession of some new moves from Rob and I played the combat phase and so on.......here's some Tracker alerts from the 26th of Dec :

Here's the economy display from Tracker. I've bumped up the number of ships being accellerated in the NavY and the MercY only to bleed the points in the pool down some. Also, I've noticed that there's 17K points in the Armament column and I'm wondering if I can turn down the production of those a bit. Anybody have an opinion?

Here's me turning off all the Armament production just to see what effect it has on the number of points in the pool.

Here's the Oil & Resources flow for the Jap side of things. Around turn 17 I had some convoys doc and unload a load some oil and resources from elsewhere into the home islands and I'm hoping the decline will slow down when I get the oil refineries at Miri et. al. up and running. I'm wondering what where I'm going to go for resources when Hokkaido runs out. There's some at Hong Kong and a bunch in the Borneo islands but other than Palembang I'm at a loss. Anybody know?

Rob still has a sub in my port at Tarakan. I guess he's hoping to pick off a weak one from the herd. So I've sent my DD's and PB's into the port to work out. Maybe one way or another we'll get the sub to leave.

I forgot to set the altitude lower and my Nell's still were bombing from way way too high. No hits.

I'm guessing I need to sweep at an altitude higher than 15,000 feet. My losses are not less than the P-40's and I'm thinking it should be.
The sweeping of Clark Field is still going on. After the sweeping is going to be the bombing.

So um........there's a lot of aerial attacks coming from Borneo but now that I've captured Samarinda they might drop off somewhat.

I could count on one hand the number of aerial attacks by Catalina's and B-17's on the Jap surface forces near Horn Island but none of them got any hits and I found out that there's a relatively large number of Australian aircraft at Darwin that I need to attend to somehow.

The Japs finally captured Iloilo. One down and 500 to go.

I got to destroy all the Allied aircraft at Samarinda when I captured it and I'm happy about that. I'm thinking I should march overland to Balikpapan rather than lose some ships to CD guns and the minefield there.

It appears that I need to ship some more reinforcements to Rabaul. The boys there are getting tired and are running out of steam.

Well it is dependant on whether your lcu devices are destroyed and if you have set them to accept replacements...

According to Tracker you are losing -1840 resources/day. You have 7 million in the Empire.
7m /1840 = 3804 turns of resources available ... There is no problem - just keep hauling Resources back to Honshu. Looking at your figures you need to accelerate that somewhat ..

So um.....according to your figures I have enough resources to last the war 3804 turns is like 10 years or something. If the current pace of action is used as a guide I don't need to haul any more resources for the rest of the war? Cool. But I'm in the habit now and if enough is good too much is better.
Thanks for your posts Damian dude.

I'm in possession of moves from Rob and did the combat replay etc. and here's the combat results for 27Dec41.
There was good news from Tarakan. I'm scratchiing the paint off the hull of that sub in my harbour. 9 hits might slow him down somewhat. That's good for some medium level of damage I figure.

I missed with both of two torpedoes off the coast of San Diego. Which brings up another question: How do you increase the skill level(s) of submarine commanders. Just steam the sub back and forth off the coast? Just a thought.

I'm shipping in some reinforcements to Rabaul and the coastal guns there are taking their tole. I need to remember to use overkill next time and avoid these second and third trips into the battlefield. It's costly sometimes.

We're right in the middle of a surface action and it looks like there's more Allied reinforcements coming my way. Maybe I should back off a bit and live to fight enother day. Or on the other hand, maybe I should sacrifice some of my ships to keep the pace going at the landing sites. What to do, what to do.

I'm STILL attacking too high. I need to change the altitude RIGHT NOW before I forget to do it again.

The sweeping is continuing at Clark Field. More is indicated. I can start the bombardment as soon as the Allied fighter menace is decreased somewhat however.......that's going to be about 5 - 7 days from now I figure.
