36. Jul/Aug 1945. Bangkok, Siam.
#1. The CW finally managed to take Bangkok, Siam. This took fine weather and an o-chit by the CW. And even with that, the attack was not a sure thing. It had a 70% chance of success and the CW rolled a 4, which was the minimum roll for the attack to succeed. But it did and Bangkok, Siam has finally been taken by the CW, which frees up two CW HQ units commanding an entire CW army group.

36. Jul/Aug 1945. CW - Use Oil.
#2. Though still not able to reorganize all their units due to continuing oil shortages, the CW have enough oil to reorganize all RN and air forces in Singapore. And, to reorganize all land forces everywhere.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. Japan.
The USA supported by massive USN and RN naval and air forces successfully landed at three locations (i.e., hexes) on the main islands of Japan. They used the remainder of the turn to expand their three-hex bridgehead to seven hexes.
The USA also railed Patton and Eisenhower (in Pusan) to Korea for deployment to Japan next turn.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. Japanese (Lack of) Production.
USAF and RAF strategic bombers were very effective against Japan. They destroyed 5 production points, which would have brought Japanese production to the negative if that was possible. The bottom line was the Japanese had no build points this turn.
It's interesting to note that Japan has plenty of oil. The lack of oil was the major motivation for Japan going to war with the CW and the USA. A bit of an irony I think.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. Truk.
While not the main objective, and really not that relevant, the USA succeed in capturing Truk this turn.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. China. North Monsoon.
In China the Nationalist, though suffering from "attack weakness", have the Japanese on ropes there. Though the CW really wants to be the nation that "liberates" Hong Kong.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. China. North Temperate.
In northern China, the communist Chinese and the Soviets have completely eradicate all Japanese presence there. There's really not much more that they can do.

Chiang would be very lucky to make it to Taiwan in this game.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. Victory Totals.
From last turn, Germany's total drop by 1 and, more interestingly, Japan's by 2.
The drops resulted in gain(s) for:
(1) USSR by 1, for Lanchow, China (1 of 2 of Japan's drop)
(2) China by 1, for Shanghai, China (2nd of Japan's drop)
(3) USSR by 1, for Keil, Germany (and?)
(4) USA by 1, for Truk (so why did the Japanese total only drop by 2?).
Maybe Chinese partisans held Lanchow last turn?

37. Sep/Oct 1945. Destroyed Pool.
Japan continues, and will, continue to take a beating until they unconditionally surrender.
German losses came from the USA overrun of those forces in Denmark.

37. Sep/Oct 1945. Game Ending Bug During Conquest Phase.
The liberation of Denmark by the USA from Germany causes a series of events during conquest phase, one of which resulted in a game ending bug. I just don't see a work around.
I think its time to end this game and this AAR. Thanks for following and hope you enjoyed.

Oh and Mao is probably already thinking "be careful what you wish for"
Anyhow, why does Free France have a historical total of 5 objectives reported? My scenario book says 1 for France @ Jul/Aug 45 ... this would have some big implications in a multi-player game
