Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. Allied #11. Weather.

This turn continues as does the weather. Well, a there's a slight variation, instead of storm in the North Monsoon it's rain. Otherwise, fine across the globe.

Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. Allied #11. RN Port Strike.

The CW take a combined and use 2 air missions to port strike the three Italian ships in La Spezia, Italy. The Italians win the surprise roll, but not enough to avoid the strike. However, they do manage to reduce RN carrier plane bombs by 2 points. The RN still manage to damage the Italian BB. So, all in all this port strike was a victory for the RN. No planes lost and an Italian battleship damaged.

The turn ends and Egypt surrenders to the Italians. It's desperate for the CW in the Middle East.

Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. Final Production. Japan.

Japan has more factories than resources. For Japan, this war is about increasing their supply of oil and non-oil (i.e., raw) resources to feed those factories. Japan has 4 factories sitting idle. With a production multiplier of 1, that's equivalent to 4 build points.

Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. Final Production. Italy.

Italy's in the same boat as Japan, which is they have more factories than resources to feed them. However, they expect to be supplied more resources through trade with Germany.

Italy's oil situation is worse than Japan's. Italy has no organic source of oil and must rely on German. That is, unless they can continue their progress in the Middle East and capture CW oil resources.

Because of their fleet and air activity this turn, Italy burned two oil points, which put their stockpile down to 1. Because of rounding, Italy could save three oil points and achieve the same BP production as if they had save two oil points and used the third for production. It's important to pay attention to such things, otherwise, Italy would be throwing away an oil point.

Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. USA Entry Options.

The USA first choose entry option 16, "Gift of destroyers to Commonwealth". This choice produced no response. Needing to get both tension levels to 11, which were below that, the USA then choose option 11, "US East Coast escorts", which did the trick. Actually more than I would have liked. The plan now is not to choose anything else until the USA can reach the levels required for 22(11), "Gear Up production". Next turn? Maybe?

Turn 7. Sep/Oct 1940. Trade. Germany to Italy.

Germany increases the amount of trade to Italy to 7 resource points, three of which are oil. This should get Italy to or near full production, especially if they replace the CP they lost in the East Med causing the Cyprus RP to go idle.

Helping German with all this is the fact they German deployed 2 Synth oil facilities this turn.

Turn 7. Sep/Oct 1940. Initiative.

The axis win a tie since the allies moved both first and last last turn.

First roll. The axis roll a 7 and the allies a 4 (7 to 4). With the situation with Gort in Egypt and the likelihood that the Italians could finish him off if the axis get the initiate, the allies elect to reroll.

Second roll. The axis roll a 8 and the allies a 7 (8+1=9 to 7). The axis win and elect to move first.

Axis #1. Weather.

Italy does not need 11 factories producing at .75 multiplier. 10 suffice for 8 BPs, and you can save 1 extra oil.

10 * 0.75 = 7.5 , that is rounded up to 8.
11 * 0.75 = 8.25, that is rounded down to 8.

Small details which can make a long run difference in terms of Axis oil!
