I've been sick as a gorn this week. Bad sore throat and something going on with my eyes, filming over so I couldn't read, waking up in the morning with the lids glued shut. No progress to report. I'm obviously better today.

Your molt?
Yes we do. To replace all that keratin gorns eat Moult-O-Meal. Yummm.

Bear with me as I make a point about geofflambert's threads.
Bob Peoples runs a famed hostel on Dennis Cove Road near Hampton, Tennessee, for Appalachian Trail backpackers. He's a renaissance man who does many things, including a prodigious amount of trail maintenance (ie, cleaning trash, clear deadfalls, etc.) . As a result, Bob has become a kind of legend on the Trail.
Last summer, my boys and I met Bob at the AT crossing closest to his hostel. He was a gentleman and was doing trail maintenance. Thereafter, we found many of the trail shelters north of Hampton full of good-humored Bob Peoples graffiti, in keeping with the Chuck Norris theme. My favorite was at Vandeventer Shelter: "Bob Peoples counted to infinite! Twice!" And: "Bob Peoples doesn't recognize the Periodic Table of Elements, he only recognizes the element of surprise."
I think Geoff is, in effect, counting to infinite twice by maintaining two AE threads: "Things to Ponder" and this thread for a game that hasn't gotten underway but which already has an AAR of something like 27t pages.
Is this kosher?

I don't think Gorns are Jewish - something to do with diet.

I just stopped reading your AAR, Steve. I didn't read a word of what Canoerebel posted there. I would advise you that your best source of disinformation is this thread.

OK, I've tested doing what I wanted to do and it just flat out isn't possible. I've come up with a new strategy which appears to hold much promise. I am committing myself to it and will begin giving final orders. I'll be busy tomorrow but hope to deliver to Steve my first turn by sometime on Thursday. Steve is still welcome to come into the thread and contribute if he wishes. That means that what I say may have some level of misdirection for him. Not to worry, in the fullness of time I will explain what I did, why and how; assuming I remember.

Steve's got his own thread - doesn't it make more sense to keep this for your stuff as there is then no need for misdirection?
Just a thought.

This is how I've always done it and I look forward to looking at his AAR before I'm senile (wait, what time is it?) but I really would like it if he kibbitzed and talked trash some on my AAR. In fact, the more he contributes the more I'll like it. So, if everything works out according to plan he will spend more time doing AARs than me and I win.
