The "Mad Bomber" returns again. No airbase bombings but tons of unit bombing. The "Mad Bombing" wont last forever . Just think of it as nice eye candy.

The "Mad Bomber" is running rampant in the South too.

Turn 7 Real game turn (Yes I know I said I was going to put in a delay but oh well, I did not)


I used to get angry at this(Mad Bombing) a long time ago. But now I know what this(meaning the Mad Bombing) means and how to use it to good effect for Germany. As such I launch operation, "Something WICKED this way comes" this turn on the zerg of Soviet airbases in the South. They are full of aircraft and ready to be harvested.

"Spooks in the Swamps"

Last turn I cut off the swamp so looks like there are spooks there. I would say at least two units because it looks like they moved . My luck it is probably 6 SEC regiments, lol. They will auto surrender soon enough. (two units in the Lvov pocket auto surrendered this turn too .

We will keep an eye on this throughout the turn. But here are the beginning number on the Aircraft loses at the beginning of my turn before operation, "Something WICKED this way comes" is launched.

I really love the detailed reports you do on the preparations. I am sure this will help a lot of players improve their game. I have certainly picked up a thing or two.

Keep it up.

Recon and planning is so important for the Germans I can't stress this enough. 90% preparation and 10% execution.

I will do the two detailed attacks on Leningrad & Bryansk real quick tonight on my step by steps so people can see the moves. But I don't know if I can continue through the whole campaign because it does get pretty tedious.

I can imagine that'll be tedious, but they are very helpful as well! At least for me who is new. Don't want to interrupt your AAR too often but really appreciate the detailed explanation.

I'm afraid the evil mastermind behind the eye candy Mad Bombing shown on the map slipped away from our clutches :-{. BUT many of the evil Cohorts pay a price for their evil ways I'm sure we will have to go through many of these Cohorts before we finally get the "Mad Bomber". Stay tuned

Leningrad & Bryansk Industries that were cut off are still cut off. . I take a look at Tula and looks like M60 moved the Industry from Tula .

Looking at Kaluga looks to be a better bargain with less effort. At a minimum, I should be able to get next to Kaluga to incur the double cost on rail movement from looking at Recon photos of the area.

Aided by a "Holy Avenger" to obscure the movement of the "German Avenger" armor unit to the Mad Bombers air fleet the "German Avenger" moves into place as the "Holy Avenger" with the shield, sword, and a storm front obscure the movement from prying eyes.

Guided safely to starting position by the "Holy Avenger" the "Avenger" waits for the German airforce to do their deeds. Operation "Something WICKED this way comes" has ended. Now begins "Airbase Ping Pong Mayhem in the Daisy fields in front of Kharkov and other strange happenings" begins.

Turn 7

After recon of the Southern front, I have noticed that M60 has reinforced the area in front of Stalino pretty heavily based on my last thrust behind Z Town. I then turn my attention to the Kharkov area and do a "Recon Bomb" to make sure there are no surprises. This is what I have after the Recon bomb. Now begins operation, "Airbase Ping Pong Mayhem in the Daisy Fields in front of Kharkov and other strange happenings". I decide to go for broke in the South. I only see 2 units behind the thin line in the front marked in orange. Also notice two airbases in my planned route through the line along with a third airbase not circled to the NW.
