Sisters coming down tomorrow, with nieces and husbands and children, Oh MY! in tow. 10 at the table.

Making Emeril Lagasse's Jambalaya; substituting crawfish for the chicken, though, and doing some smoked ham nuckles for broth and pig meat.

Got all the recipe parts for Harris' special hurricane drinks. Might just wander down to Gulf Shores, kick off our shoes, and hoist one or three in hopes ya'lls roof stays on, the creek don't rise, and the tree don't fall.

Mmmmm, Jambalaya...

We're in great shape in central NC.  My wife is currently driving to work, 1.5 hours south of us, in clear weather. 

Things are a bit different to the east of us, where an estimated 400,000 people are without power, and no word on how bad the flooding might have been yet.

Not much here. Did get some wind that knocked out power to a few, but not much. Nice rain though. Much needed though not as much as I'd hoped.

Tomorrow's going to be a rough day for the Mid-atlantic coast. Prayers for them.

All pictures taken with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS30 (14 MPixels, 8x Optical Zoom) and resized with Adobe Photoshop.


BTW, I saw (and photographed as many as I could) myriad of sailing yachts as well as literary hundreds of luxury motor yachts (many many as big as 50+ meters with 5 decks probably worth tens and tens of millions of $ US) but, for me, the most beautiful are sailing yachts - no motor yacht can compare to sailing yacht IMHO! [:)]
