Get used to it, I'm back, I think. Summertime hibernation has started. I feel like such a noob, haven't played in awhile. I loaded up Coral Sea and got my butt kicked. Good thing no one saw that.

Same as usual, I guess. The kid's enlistment is up in August. If he had re-upped, it looks like he would have been stuck in Minot still. He figures, if he has to stay there, he might as well make some money, and wants to grab an oil job.
They're getting married in March. It will be in Wisconsin Dells, of all places.

Operation 'Like a Military Operation' (or whatever the official name was) had a fitting end to the BBMF participation in the D-Day 70th anniversary. One of the Spitfires had a snag at Caen so the Lancaster landed to disgorge a selection of groundcrew to fix the problem. Then the Lancaster departed, shortly afterwards she blew her hydraulic system and fractured a feed pipe leaving the old girl without any hydraulics at all. So the crew had to use emergency air pressure to blow down the landing gear. So now we've got two 'planes sitting in France feeling sorry for themselves.
Weeks like this last one are why I have a little laugh whenever anyone says things have been planned/gone like a military operation [:D]

It's funny how that happens. For some reason flight crews always manage to break in nice places. I broke down many times in Bermuda. But somehow my crew always managed NOT to breakdown in Lakehurst NJ.[:D]

The only time you know everything is going as it's supposed to, is when nothing is going as it's supposed to. [:'(]
