POING!POING!POING!POING!POING!POING!POING!

I remember you saying that you love to go to work and love being there... [;)]

I do, when there's work to do. However, it's summer, and therefore there's a lot less activity at the hospital. Thus it's boring.

After much delay, I actually completed my first Allied turn vs. the AI in Scen 1 last night.  [8D]

I'm using 2 day turns and it will take a bit of getting used to.

Good job. I played a WITP PBEM with 2 day turns, it is a different beast indeed.

Shoulda put a whole bunch of smileys in my post. It was so obviously over the top, chain yanking, never occurred to me anyone would take it seriously. Oh, well. Guess I'll have to find somewhere else to slander Cotton Mather.

Ciao.

Never underestimate the power of the "SOMEONE IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET!!!!" factor.

I don't have any such issues with my Macbook Pro. The keyboard is great for me, but I have thin fingers. And the Airport works flawlessly. Much better reception than my wife's Dell with a Broadcom chip.

They are fine machines overall...(except for the iMac keyboard). Just overpriced....and pray you never need out of warrenty servicing. Its ironic that people still villianize Bill Gates and Microsoft as corporate money grabbers while Steve Jobs is still mostly looked at as a people's hero while charging very high fees for products and service. Marketing...I should have gone into Marketing!

Nik, I've had some recruiters from the Chicago area looking for candidates for server/network admin roles. Interested or too far?

hell yes....but alas, yes it is too far [:(] GF wouldn't be able to contemplate such a move at this point in time. Just got my certification in Comp-Tia's Server+ program. If you hear of anything in the Seattle/PacNW area let me know.......18 months on the hunt now with no joy (save for head hunters looking for temporary work providing you have your own car!)

My home town did an active part in the War of 1812. Ogdensburg is situated on the St Lawrence River across from Prescott, Ontario (then Upper Canada). An invasion of Canada was launched from Ogdensburg that was defeated about 11 miles down river on the Canadian side at a place called Chrysler's Farm. Ogdensburgers (Ogdensburgians???) were not thrilled by the war as they were losing their livelyhood (trade with Canada). The US military authorities had to deal with a lot of hostility in the town[:D] Also, after the failed invasion, the British sent a small punative raid against the town that pretty well sacked it.

About 50 miles away at Sackett's Harbor, NY was the main US Naval Base on Lake Ontario that that British tried to get at several times. That base played a big role in preventing the British from gaining control of the Great Lakes. They never succeeded. The main British naval base was at Kingston where Lake Ontario empties into the St Lawrence River.

Yeo made one attempt on Sacketts that i'm aware of, the raiding force was repulsed and was not a well reviewed operation from the UK standpoint. Primary standoff on Ontario was due to the squadrons themselves. Chauncey and Yeo had several indecisive skirmishes and frustrated both side's land commanders by being more obsessed with each other than helping support each side's land drives.

on a last loving note regarding dear Bob and Doug McKenzie......I'll never be able to forget them even if i were to try. In addition to being the "ultimate 'Rush' fan.....(coo coo coo ca coo coo coo!!!), my older "cooler than thou" brother was totally caught up in the popularity of the skit.

For a full year my name was "Hoser" I think i almost forgot my real name......"Loser" oh wait....or was it "geek". Hard to remember the times between playing computer wargames on the Atari..

Older brothers are a pain. I don't recommend getting one.

i *might* have you beat on the ultimate Rush fan thing (well, at least all the older stuff - i thought i died and went to heaven the first time i heard Hemispheres)...they are in town August 9th, which would be a no brainer except it's on a Monday...hmmmm...getting old...definitely no brainer 20 years ago...

I actually like Rush a little now in spite of the fact that the Brother from Hell pushed their long hair 2112/Hemispheres incarnation into my face day and night. "My band rocks...what do you like? oh yeah....the Eurythmics and Men without Hats........oh yeah...they really ROCK.....pussy." [:D]

Neil Peart did have some interesting lyrics. I think my favorite is "The Trees"

"There is unrest in the forest
There is unrest with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
and the Oaks ignore their pleas......"

much deeper than

"POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME!!!!!....ya ya ya ya.......(grab crotch) "

Favorite Rush songs though in adult form remain "Big Money" and "Time Stand Still"
