This season is all about my Oakland A's. Best record in the bigs for months on end now. They keep signing stellar pitching and they've got the greatest (by far) ratio of runs scored: runs allowed in the majors. No one else is close.

Enjoy Jeter's swan song, SuluSea-it's the only thing you'll get out of this season. We'll inform you how our pennant and World Series berths came out.

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy Friday while kids were at a cosplay con. Nice to have them old enough that I can cleave them for a couple of hours and not be worried about them or the facility. No spoilers here, but stay through the credits as is typical of all Marvel films and watch for the "no animals were abused" clause at the end of the credits. Once you read it you will know why I said wait for it.

Overall, I liked it. Good summer fun, no reality needed or required to enjoy it.
