China (february 3rd and 4th 1942)
IJA conducted some ground offensive assaults here yet again and we got hammered once more.
This battle took place
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at 81,49
Japanese Shock attack
Attacking force 22113 troops, 142 guns, 42 vehicles, Assault Value = 675
Defending force 15038 troops, 50 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 507
Japanese adjusted assault: 764
Allied adjusted defense: 77
Japanese assault odds: 9 to 1
Combat modifiers
Defender: terrain(+), experience(-), supply(-)
Attacker: shock(+)
Japanese ground losses:
231 casualties reported
Squads: 0 destroyed, 12 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 21 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 2 disabled
Vehicles lost 1 (0 destroyed, 1 disabled)
Allied ground losses:
7672 casualties reported
Squads: 169 destroyed, 170 disabled
Non Combat: 209 destroyed, 158 disabled
Engineers: 5 destroyed, 10 disabled
Guns lost 4 (2 destroyed, 2 disabled)
Units retreated 2
Defeated Allied Units Retreating!
Assaulting units:
34th Division
57th Infantry Brigade
Defending units:
87th Chinese Corps
94th Chinese/C Corps
Hmmm. No penalties for the Japanese and I got downgraded by an experience and supply modificators. (I will post an pic from main unit in this battle).
I have actually changed the leader here and the commander is not half as bad. The unit exp level is 39. The support is a bit low along with the supply levels.
Than again my adjusted av value dropped from 507 --> 71! The gave me an terrain bonus of x3 and still this happened.
We managed to shoot down 231 enemy troops and none of the SHOCK assaulting units were destroyed. If you look at the losses we lost 7672 casualties and had 400 units destroyed.
Hmmm, I think the Chinese frontline might deserve another look from the developing team. This seems quite absurd to me.
...oh well the fight will continue for sure.
