The Sluken cap looks nice.
It's quite usual in Scifi that Space pirates (and sometimes other factions) have asteroid bases. It's practical, easy and has certain charm in it.

I realy hope soon we can mod specific pirate factions with a specified ship set and unique race avatar. [:D] I have some nice ships saved on my hd for this moment.

Great stuff as always Woodman!

BTW. If my memory serves, you said something about enhancing the existing sets once you get all races done. What I mean is that some of the sets have duplicate designs (Kiadian medium and large spaceports and Quanemo spaceports for example). I don't have major problem with this, but did you still plan to replace some of them with new ones in the future?

Cheers guys!

@JHGT - First priority is to get the sets all done, but I will probably come back and replace some of the duplicates after, also the undersized images (the poor Teekans and there big blurry large Spaceport for instance[:D] I will include a new Kiadian Spaceport in the next update for you [;)]

Here is my first attempt at combining a spaceport with an asteroid, needs a little work, it actually looks better in game than in Photoshop. But, yep, its definately doable.

I was just curious, not making any demands, but thanks a lot nonetheless!

The Ugnari spaceport looks good. I thought something similar that Ugnari would park their bigger ships on asteroids and make bases out of them.

AWESOME JOB WOODMAN!  Have you thought about adding more rock and maybe making it a bit darker?  Just a thought?.

Thanks Data!

@Sim: I can do more asteroid to technology, but I can't just make it bigger by adding more rock because the game scales the images.  So adding more rock would just make the Spaceport bits smaller, while the overall image remains the same size.  It might not look right if the technology bits get too much smaller because that ship thats sitting next to it for example is only a freighter [:D]

I love it either way.[:D]

Do you intend to make their larger ships a hybrid asteroid/ship?

Thanks Elan!

@Sim, at he moment their larger ships are sphere-like. Screenie a few pages back [;)] I will make one ship an asteroid/ship hybrid though, the Resupplyship. Simply because an Asteroid ship would be really cool [:D]

So people were requesting a specific shape for the Ketrov ships, I tried my best, its really difficult to make this style ships, because it seems no matter what I put in the middle, something looks iffy. But, I promised to show as soon as I had something, so here we go, a Ketarov Frigate.

I didn't make it Black like some suggested, I feel we have a lot of black and dark ships, I also think of Ketarov as good guys, so I went with a different coloour scheme.

I think that Ketarov ship looks awesome. I also like that color scheme even though I too like dark and menacing colors. I actually was wanting a race that had an alternating black and red color scheme. That would probably be good for an insectoid race. There was a sci-fi book written that had something like that once ( on the cover art ).

That ships looks great indeed! Definetly has it's own style and color scheme look great too. Black would have probably looked a bit odd on ship shaped like that.

EDIT: Just noticed that I wrote excatly same as Simulation at first (didn't read his post). What are the odds...
Changed now.

Hey all! Its been longer than usual for an update [:D]

Just to let you know I'm still alive and breathing and the Ugnari update will be available tomorrow evening [;)] Its not exactly the best set in the mod, they've been a bit of a nightmare, but they have some interesting things, asteroid bases and spherelike capitals.

I think that they add a lot of flavor Woodman.  They are very different from what you've been doing and they add spice.  Actually they remind me of the Teekan in the sense that they seem like they are scraping by to extend their influence in space by whatever means they have to.  If they have to use asteroids then damnit they will use asteroids!

I really like the gritty appeal they have.  Once again, great job!

What the zok are you talking about! They look excellent and unique! Definetly in my current top 5 of the shipsets. So many good ones out there.
