The Chinese Army is pinned down all over China. The Japanese garrisons have relocated troops to Manchuria, but the Chinese lack supplies for a major counter offensive

The Transsiberian Front is under huge pressure by the Japanese Army

The Far East Front has just launched operation "Intergalactic Sabotage" to break out of their isolement and to link up with Armies in the east.

The Central Pacific Command controlls the Gilbert islands except for Kwajalein and Roi/Namur. The Japanese seem to be building up Ewinetok.

The Southwestern Command has just taken New Caledonia and Espiritu Santo

The map doesn't change? Then it is possibly open. Ooops

The damaged Japanese carriers are moving very slowly to the Solomons. I don't believe they are heading to Truk. That is too far for at least some of the ships, judging by the speed of the TF. As soon as the Japanese ships disband in a port (Tulagi, Shortlands or Rabaul) they will trigger heavy bombardments by the US Army. Also more than 30 submarines are currently chasing the damaged carriers. Nagumo is heaving a tough week.

7th US Air Force @ Noumea (lvl5) has 60 B24D1 bombers; Tulagi, Shortlands and Rabaul are within range

In following this AAR it looks like the IJ are very close to spending thier 401K account in terms of fuel. I have to think that the IJ economy is on the brink of collapse given the high tempo of IJN operations over this past year. I will be following closely to see signs of this occuring .. [8D]

The Japanese Navy and Army are demanding a lot of its industry. With large battles in India, China and now Russia a constant demand for armament and vehicles will cost him a lot of HI points. I'm also curious about the Japanese stockpiles of HI, armament, vehicles and fuel. And about aircraft and engine production. Also because I recently started another PBEM playing with Japan. It may very well be that the Japanese economy is on the brink of collapse. It may also be that NJP is very well organized and is able to squeeze the maximum out of the Japanese economy. For sure he has guts, as I wouldn't even been thinking to invade Russia or India at scenario #1. Anyway the rest of the war is going to be very exciting. The war with the Soviets may have a large impact on the outcome. There are massive battles all over the map and I'm still holding thousands of AV in reserve until I know what his troops at Khabarovsk are up to. After that also the 1st Red Banner Army will join in on operation "Intergalactic Sabotage" which is still pinned down at Yenki.

I'd wish that my submarine commanders were as good as the Japanese ones in torpedoing carriers
