Stopping to fire will only get you hit.

YES!! A good sign, the hatches are closed and not opened to the sky for the crew to bail out...they fight on!

For Russia!

Good Hunting.

Here are the charge lane orders. The blue lines show where our T-34's are to converge on the German hedgehog position.

I am digging the new icons. They show buttoned-up condition as well as AFV and infantry, etc.?

Icons come in two flavors included in the game. Basic stars and crosses.

They do show the leader, with a round icon, a replacement leader with a diamond icon, a basic part of the unit is a rectangular icon.

They show infantry, armor and guns. They show when a vehicle is buttoned or not. The star shows who the leader is in addition to the shape of the icon.

Death rides the steppes in the 1st Tank Corps. The German's rip the formation with fire.

Only one T-34 has survived the initial part of the charge on the western part of the formation.

Tears will stain the soil of Mother Russia with the memories of her heroes!

But as 1st Tank Company bleeds and dies they buy time for the rest of the battalion.

2nd Company is advancing on the Germans from our right.

Hurry Comrades; or here we will give our all for the cause!

You are right about the intensity level.

We are pretty much at point-blank and still closing. Good use of the screen shots. We are riding right along on the glorious charge.

Eastern front action as expected.

2nd Tank Company has taken heavy losses when they stumbled upon a German recon section. They destroyed it but got jumbled up and a single Elephant took vengeance upon them.

Those that remain are determined to make the Germans pay for their efforts with a pound of German flesh!

Good Hunting.

As two of the tank platoons have lost their leaders this company is handicapped at the moment while the assist platoon leaders take over and sort things out.

Lt. Yerokhin is closing the gap between himself and the Elephant rapidly. The range is already down to 238 meters.

Time to take this beast out!

But death waits for no man. In a flash the German machine spins and fires three times.

All three rounds are hits! Two T-34's go up in flames! Smoke pouring from the machines. No crew are seen to have left either machine.

How can it be that the Hero of the Soviet Union Lt. Yerokhin has fallen in battle?!

There is no justice in this world. Will it be that his whole family shall perish in this war against the heathens? Now only his brother can carry the fight to the German homeland!

Vengeance shall be ours!!

Good Hunting.

A single German machine has wreaked havoc on the entire 2nd Tank Company!

Out of the smoke of battle the remainder of the company do their duty and follow orders to the last tank!

3rd Tank Company is in the best shape and on the flank of two of the German heavy assault guns.

This is our best chance to drive home the hammer!

The Elephant facing the 3rd Tank Company is taking fire from both flank and rear. While the track has been damaged the rear hit does nothing.

NOTHING!!!

What does it take to put a hole in one of these beasts!!

And the SP is hit yet again, and again the round does not penetrate! We continue to hit them over and over to no effect!

What can be done?

Maybe it is time to think about ramming these monsters of Hill 254!

3rd Tank Company is facing the beast at point blank range. They are so close together the report of the German gun and the impact heard from the round are almost as one.

Here you can see the German AP round as it leaves the gun tube on it's mission of death!

More and more T-34's burn in the hot summer sun!

The ballads will be great when sung about today's sacrifice! But Lo Comrades, let us not falter in our resolve to defeat these Beasts of Hill 254! Now is the time for our debt to Mother Russia to be paid in blood if need be!

Onward to Glory!

Good Hunting.

The tank commander sees death. He is given that one fleeting moment to see his family flash before his eyes before the 88mm messenger of death strikes his tank and kills him and his crew.

Good Hunting.
