Good luck with the midget. Don't expect a lot, but it can work!
Lotta fuel, low probability ... however Murphy's Law does hold so .... Good Luck!

Just looking at my game once I'd set up tracker, and although I've been conserving a lot lately I have less global supply than you show here. I'm impressed, and wondering what you're doing so differently? Maybe some of it is RnD.
How much are you building forts? Are you expanding a lot of bases' infrustructure? Did you increase HI/LI?
What are your global numbers on oil/fuel?

Hi obvert. If I have more supply it's likely by luck rather than design[;)]
Up until recently I was moving a lot of resource around to those places with HI/LI. Now I'm just moving resource from Hokkaido/Sakhalin and Korea back to Japan.
I've attached my latest screenshot showing global fuel/oil pools.
Forts - I feel I'm building forts quite a bit. Basically any base on the frontline or secondary line (Solomans, Marshalls, Mariana's, SRA (incl. Java, Malaya and PI), Burma that has engineers is building forts up to as high a level as they can.
Bases - Likewise. Any base that I'm using as a strategic point is having AF's built up to level 3 as a minimum and those missions critical areas like the Mariana's will have max AF levels built. Ports have only been expanded at those bases in back water that are useful for maximum convoy docking.
HI/LI - no increase of these at all.
Not sure if that helps. Anything else you want to see?

George/Jack are VERY good planes... competitive with early model Bolts/Stangs. The 4x20mm armaments really help.
Your supply looks good for mid-43. You'd like to have ~10M for mid-44. If you do, then you are in good shape for end game because you will have last model fighters in quantity. Sam is even better than George/Jack. Shinden is still better. Frank b and r work good.

I have a conservation plan I'm trying to stick to but also want to make some major stopping points with very high forts. I won't talk about them here.

Your oil/fuel is a bit low for this time in game. You may want to curtail that and get a lot of fuel back to the HI pronto while you control the seas and before working torps take their inevitable toll.

I know in my last game I over built fields, ports and forts, and I've tried to be more prudent and chose my sticking points this time around
Still, I'll never in a million years make a 10 million surplus in supply. [&:]

SC's fuel usage is negligible. And they might actually hit a sub sometime! [:)]ORIGINAL: Speedy
I've also mothballed all those PB's and low endurance SC's.
mid '43, this is really, really good results. At this point, these losses should be readily sustainable by you both in terms of air frames and pilots.ORIGINAL: Speedy
Planes:
Allied losses: 600
Japanese losses: 381

You need to force this, bleed the allies dry of planes. No planes, no offense.

Even if in a pinch, you can put them on patrol in some bottleneck or otherwise important hex. This way they will burn no more than 1 hex worth of fuel a day. And build up their xp up to 45 from pure sailing

Hmm. Maybe I'll send out some of the SC's on ASW TF's then. I'll think on it.
