Another very very close loss. 1.99 v 1.00
I will reattack the hex with success.

After my second attack on the above hex I find the center hex above the river undefended
and I send in a high mobile tank unit to occupy.
Finland is now doomed?

3 down.
This was the turn I had hq displace.
Pelton is bringing down reinforcements which means his lines somewhere else are losing depth.

Not enough fuel for a big push. Actually it's not clear how I should proceed. I would like to get North of the swamp line.
not sure that will be easy.
I take the swamp rr hex.

This was an attack later in turn. I had no tanks which could reach the open spots north of the port.
Pelton does not mind losing the Fins. I think this Finnish surrender could come sooner than normal.
I have been using soaking attacks to drain supply before my big attacks which seem to work on even the largest D positions.
As long as I am attacking from 3 sides.

Zuchov V Manstein.
This was an over 100 CV D position.

And they have felt the sting of battle.

Massive recon. Small push on edge.
Looks like he wants to hold swamp line.
I also liked my partisan rr break line. Too bad its in a non action spot.

More push near Tula.
I am advanced here as well.

I take one more swamp hex near the swamp line.
I also launch tanks East to encircle Germans tank units.
It will not hold but will force action on my terms.
My air units down here are declining fast.

This was a big win for swamp hex and then over river to clear hex.
If I can hold West side of the Dneiper that would be good for summer.

I redirect my attack northwest and not toward a link up. I'm assuming Pelton will retreat orderly to his new Mud line.
