Oh, just pointing out in the south, if you need any advice from the peanut gallery, you can isolate all the German armor on your front very easily. Probably would cut down on their mobility next turn.

Any point continuing guys?! I can do my turn but I don't really see the point. Good learning experience. Well played on their part in the centre. Additionally, this team play is not really for me to be honest. I miss the coordination, planning and discussion I was expecting. And the Soviet side is also not my preference, too much admin, organising and being patient before any fun can be had from December. Feels like a job rather than a game.

And then Drakken just leaving without a word. I'm not very motivated to continue as you can hear. This team game concept could work but it requires a different approach for it to become more fun than the standard 2 player game. I'll do my turn tonight but if you you also think we should fly the white flag, then let me know.

Well everytime I would try to talk about strategy and ended my messages with : Il be waiting for everyone's opinion. I would never get any opinion and had to wait 2-3 days , even 4 or 5 days sometime before I get an answer. So in that matter, it made it hard to communicate.

However. Everyone is free to do as they please. I did the Southern turn this time. and we will be finding a replacement.
Everyone is free to leave if they want. I will be fighting until the end, personally.

Well.. the enemy is at the gate of Moscow. and its Late July / Early August. So, no. things are not too good. You will need to get in contact with Sparkley Tits I believe for the Dropbox. I personally dont know anything about it, apart from the password. Maybe The Doctorking can help you as well ( Northern Front commander )

It's a really long way to Magadan (farthest major city in the USSR away from the Germans).

I'm pretty confident so far in my sector anyway. He's going to take Leningrad at some point but hopefully not before the winter. Then, we'll hold him somewhere short of any useful target.

What is our order of play?

Order of play is the same : Me, Wallas, Center ( ?? ), North / South.

Im waiting to see if we cant get a player for center. Ideally, I shouldnt play center again, but we are running out of options here.


So far strategy is to try to hold as much as possible, everywhere. Its a major disaster right now, but so was Operation Barbarossa. We will have to retreat and loose a lot but if thats what we do, thats what we do. Until we can get things back in order.

Im going to make my commander turn today, and then it will be Wallas's turn.

Iv put everything I could in terms of reinforcement in the center. If we find a Central commander, those units will go to that person. As the rest goes, if anyone has a good idea on what we can do to bring things back together, now is the time.

Fall back slowly, count on the supply difficulties to slow the fascist advance. We aren't going to get much of a winter counter-offensive, lacking troops. We should do our best to consolidate a position where we can hold the Caucasus and the Volga cities. Put all those replacement divisions on refit. Make sure to increase their TOE Max to 100%. Fly our air force at every opportunity, regardless of losses, so that our guys gain experience. By spring, we ought to have a dozen or so fighter regiments that can hold their own with the Luftwaffe and a dozen or so IL-2 squadrons that can deliver a lot of AFV kills. If the Germans continue to push east, they will suffer lots of vehicle losses that will hamper their armored movement as well as their supply delivery. Hope for good outcomes from the partisans. Maybe drop those airborne brigades that Wallas has saved so carefully into the Axis rear areas to cut supply lines. When they get shattered, they will then serve as partisan cadres. Build for a good 1943.

Do the game actually take into account the lost troops behind lines to become partisans leaders ? Also Doctorking, I think you will have to be the Central Commander until we find a replacement. Are you okay with that ? Im still debating it with Telemescus in PM.

If a unit is shattered (or maybe also surrendered?) it has a chance to become a partisan cadre. I know I've often gotten plenty in western Belarus where I lose lots of units on turn 1 and 2.

I can take the center if you like. My plan right now would be to organize those guys around Moscow into armies and do my best to hold Moscow for as long as possible. Leningrad is now almost certain to fall and probably pretty soon.

Alright well we have no one to take command of the Central front. So go ahead and do the Central Front Doctorking.
Take all the armies around Moscow and defend the capital.
