Speaking of the Bismarck chase, did you know that Leonard B. "Tuck" Smith received a Distinguished Flying Cross for what he did on 26 May 1941 but could not tell anybody why for a long time?

Well, dang, MakeeLearn. What a great story and experience. You rubbed shoulders with a legend, although he didn't think of himself that way. He was just a 'Bama boy lucky enough to survive a war. To the rest of us, he was walking history.
Goes to show that every person has a story. If you and Sledge had lived in Georgia, instead of across the state line, I'd be begging you to write a story about Sledge. Or I'd write one about the both of you, and I'd be sure to include the comment about "those things are deadly!"
And they are, as we all know!
If you are looking for a good Georgia story. Find a copy of
Confederate Scrapbook published in 1893 by Lizze Cary Daniel, and read the story
"With the old Vets of Georgia: Representative Styles, the Colored Law-Maker, gets a cane".
Styles was a black politician who fought for the rights of Confederate Vets. The story in the scrapbook was originally published in the
Atlanta Constitution

SoPac: The Wild Goose chase is winding down, as the trailing element of KB moves NW. No further ships sunk during this period, so I think the final tallies are in. Losing CL Achilles and two DMS (and some other stuff) added to my woes, but saving Lex's complement of aircraft helped a bit.

DEI: Dave isn't pushing hard in this region, yet. Allied efforts have focused on getting supply to Singers (140k now) and pulling fuel out of this region.
Dave hasn't committed combat TFs forward - he's being careful.
I've never gotten nearly this much supply into Singers before. Is it enough to really make a difference? Is it enough to warrant committing 18th UK Div.? Probably not, unless I get to feeling unusually chipper. Stripping Commonwealth devices at the start of the game is a bad way to kick things off - as bad as losing Lex or more so.

SEAC: Nothing much happening in this theater yet. I'm satisfied with early Allied defensive measures; I'm moderately worried about the effort and attention Dave is giving to China, to this point.

It might take a long time to repair Lex's air group using Air Support brought in. Why not use xAKLs in a transport TF to lift them out. I say xAKLs because they can dock at small ports and get the damaged aircraft aboard.

You might consider putting the British 18th Infantry Division in Palembang, since it self generates supplies it will be sustained during any attack and he can't use his BBs to bombard because of the narrow shallow channel. He will eventually want the oilfields and will have to fight for them and they will be heavily damaged even if you are pushed out, after a protracted battle.

I think a patch long ago did away with Palembang and other similar bases producing supply.

Any xAK or xAKL can transport planes, but I can't remember if or if not size of the air group/type of plane requires more cargo capacity.

I have never had a problem lifting single engine planes with an xAKL - it takes a lot of aircraft to equal 1000 tons but just in case, it might be good to use xAKLs of 1700 tons or more capacity. They load instantly so they can dock, load and undock each in turn and be underway immediately.

And they get reassembled using an allen key wrench and vague instructions with no words. Those aircrew guys sure were brave!

Refineries in Stock do produce supply, but it will not be sustained during the siege since oil production in the hex will stop, and oil stocks will quickly run out

When you ship air units by freighters, consider breaking the into thirds so you won't lose the whole unit if the ship is sunk. Also, when they get to their destination, railroading them to another base, if possible, will speed up the repair process.
