I queue up as many as my AP allows. I shall set their max TOE to 50, and deploy them when they're ready. They shall build forts and provide depth.

Rifle brigade limit changed from 183 to 148. Any reasons not to order them until a limit? Or there was no AP or you found a better usage for AP? I never played Soviets, but I really want to, thus trying to get all useful information

I see you have made no Ski units at all. Is that normal? Are they not worth it?
:EDIT:
One single Ski Brigade, but that's it.

I don't think rifle brigades are worth 8 ap a pop. Nor do I think ski brigades are worth the manpower.
Some other soviet players might want to chime in! But personally I don't bother anymore with ski brigades, and I'd rather have my AP saved to build 100 rifle divisions.

Ski brigades have a special CV bonus during winter weather (I think 4x as much CV or so?). So although they do take manpower, I think this special bonus makes them worth having and using at least during winter. If you don't want them when winter is over, you can send them to theater boxes during the summer, and pull out rifle divisions/brigades onto the map instead.

Turn 31. I forgot to document turn 30, but it was mostly just me moving and making quite a few failed attacks.
Blizzard is sadly not present this week, but is scheduled to return next week.

Quite a few holds this week too. We continue the advance and encircle 3 units. I don't think it'll hold, but it'll be nice if it does.
Kursk is threatened, as is Zaporozhye. Pskov is also threatened, but we make no progress to Smolensk.

A painful week.

Turn 32 losses. Very slight progress in most places, but the defenders occupying the area east of Smolensk continue to prove hard to dislodge.

Many guards corps are formed. I will probably spend most of my AP forming as many as I can.

One such hold near Smolensk. I consider shooting Lelyushenko.

Zaporozhye is liberated, at least, and Dovator does us proud. The Romanians as ever disappoint, I attacked with half their nominal CV and they lost horribly.

Velikie Luki is liberated also. Nominally equal CV value, and it looks like fairly healthy regiments, but regiments are bait and cannot hold land whatsoever.

OOB. I will begin deploying my 97 rifle divisions next turn. They're all 50% TOE. They shall man every river at the front, and begin building forts. Eventually I will replace them with brigades to hold the front, to blunt any axis advance. CPP is depleted regardless of whether it's attacking a 3k men brigade or a 45k guards corps. By putting brigades on forts, I force the axis to hit them with units that would otherwise be hitting my valuable divisions.
And if they're encircled, well, it's just brigades.

I feel bad for your opponent. They are taking it all in good humour, I hope?

Lovenought - do not read this AAR and do not try to do the same in our game

Well it's not so much humor as much as it is just absurd.
I respect my opponent and would gladly play him again in the future.
