39 yrs here. Started with Squad Leader tabletop game and with C-64 comp games. I think first C-64 games were Knights of the Desert and a Normandy invasion game of same genre.

I remember getting those Microp(r)ose games for C64, wasn't "Red Storm Rising" one of them?

Definitely...had that one too. Wasn't that an excellent sub simulation, tho (for it's time) ?

Turned the big 5-0 a few weeks ago - and for all you younger guys out there: "Life is still GOOD....oh yah", you are as old as you let yourself become...makes me about 24 [:D]

I cut my gaming teeth on Milton Bradley's American Heritage series games like 'Hit The Beach' and 'Dogfight!' back in the mid 1960s. Then by 1968 I discovered the wonderful world of Avalon Hill - with Jutland and Battle of the Bulge....the beginning of a life long addiction. [;)]

Well, it looks like a Nieuport 17, in RFC markings....Hmmm Billy Bishop?

EDIT:
I'm leaning toward what 06 Maestro pointed out below...I rather think it's Albert Ball too.

Gawd, I had Dogfight, too. I'd forgotten it as I really can't consider any Milton Bradley product a real wargame! I recall nothing about the gameplay...

I'll be 42 in january. My first game was Avalon Hill's France 1940. I never could find anyone to play it with, but I still bought many other games. Thank God for computers or I probobly never would have gotten back into gaming.
