Rob Bironis - Titan's kicker as of this last year died in a motor vehicle accident last night. It appears just speed was a factor. He was a great community guy in addition to a great kicker. RIP

Already have a turn off to Torsten this morning. It's my 3rd of the weekend, which is approaching a record for me. [:D]

Currently getting play by play texts from Sara for Alex's hockey game up in Rockville, MD. They won 2 games yesterday, and are up 2 - 0 after the first period today against a tougher team. The fact that they are on the trip makes my AE production increase. [8D]

Now, I have a couple of errands to finish, a quick dip in the pool, and then it's time to chill in front of some football while I wait for my family to get home and a turn to hit the dropbox. Not a bad way to spend the weekend. [:)]

Squeaked out a win the pro league and pulled into third place. There is only one unbeaten team in the league and it is just week 3. Going into bye weeks now, will see what rises to the surface and falls to the bottom after this part.

Monday Night Football hangover tithe [>:]

The Canadian Lancaster has gone home, the BBMF hangar was strangely empty without Vera in there. Even though they were only here for six weeks it feels like they've been part of the BBMF for a long time, to the extent that the D-Day 70th commemorations seem like they were years ago. There was at least one of their guys trying to choke back some tears before they left.


I managed to grab a ride in their Lancaster across to Jersey, so I'm proud to say I've flown (and slept) on both airworthy Lancasters [:D] I also managed to get a very nice (and unique) souvenir from their visit, I bought a 1/72 diecast model of their Lancaster and got the Canadian and BBMF crews to sign it [8D] I'm not sure whether to keep it or put it up on eBay though, I don't think Mrs Dixie would let me keep four Lancasters (plus a Halifax, a Wellington and two B-24s plus a stack of Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mosquitos and eventually a TriStar) in the house.
