Smoked turkey, honey cured ham (mine, not store bought) sweet potato pie, asparagus with light cheese sauce & home made bread. Made a Peach/Raspberry crumb cake for desert. Gonna be a big shindig at the homestead tonight [8D]

Smoked chicken, with an arugula and baby kale salad for lunch today. Tonight will be skillet fried Italian sausage, peppers, onions and potatoes: gen-u-ine Italian food. Tomorrow will be the usual smoked ham, homemade mashed potatoes and rolls and steamed green beans.

For dessert-will you be having some herbaceous products to stoke the appetite? [;)]

We HAD planned to have guests over for beef Wellington , roasted vegetables , and all the sides , with a midnight treat of pork pie (a nod to our Quebec quois ancestry). Instead we'll be doing the his 'n her bottle of nyquil and assorted cold medicines , and sucking down canned soup. Blah!
Merry Christmas and happy respective holidays for our forum brethren. AHHHHHCHOOOOO! [:(][8|][:D]

I have been categorically told by a five year old that Mummy and Daddy are NOT to bug him in the morning. [X(] I was also told not to wake him up early. That obviousy applies to Mrs Dixie as well, but his sister is allowed in if she wants to go. I'm not sure how she'd get there 'cos she's stuck in her cot...

Hi all,
Guys, how is the weather in your part of the world?
We had almost springtime weather for weeks and weeks (temperatures up to +15 degrees Centigrade with plenty of blue skies and sunshine) until this morning...
It was raining during the night (after long long time) and now the temperatures are around +5 degrees Centigrade (i.e. there was 10 degreed drop overnight) although the sky is again blue and the sun is shining!

Cold and grey. But I live in the UK so it's not surprising.

Snowing in Denver Colorado. Avalanche danger is pretty high, we may have to cancel the winter mountain backpack trip.
