Well, I congratulate you on the glasses at any rate. Where did you find them?

An import shop in Omaha called "Red square". [:D] The owner explained the problem with samovars. It seems the US won't allow new ones in because of safety concerns (power differences and no UL ratings) and the Russian government is not crazy about exporting old ones as it's considered "Raiding our heritage". I can't blame them , but I do think the US dept. of commerce is being a little overboard. They could always just cut the cords off and sell them "for display only", but they don't like that idea. I guess they figure too many people know how to convert them (basically , if you can wire a lamp, you can convert them!).

The glasses were pricey too, but they are the 1st ones I've seen in person, not sold over the internet.

You did say too much or not enough. If you don't say enough, by telling more, you could reach too much, but if you told too much, there is no way you can get back to not enough.....
