Here's the zoomed-out view. It shows me ( the red dots ) running
around creating maheim, converting hexes, making trouble, mostly in the
south of the country:

The VC 67th Inf Reg overran a couple of airbases near Bien Hoa and
has dug in forcing the ARVN units nearby to try to dig him out next turn:

The other moves I did were the multiple smaller units converting hexes and
trying to stay away from Allied forces. Here's the results of my attack:

And the turn ended here.

Allied Turn 23, Nov 1966 -

The victory level dropped 7 points from last turn.  This was expected considering all the enemy units I left on board last turn.  But the monsoons are over and the ARVN woke up from it's sleep, so I should be able to get most of it cleaned up this turn.  I left a couple hotbeds of activity just because I don't have the forces to attack everything at once.

Larry's strategy is effective.  Most Allied players would be calling in another division right about now.  As the designer I have the advantage of intricate knowledge of the NLF's capabilities vs. my own and believe I can restore order with what I have on hand.  If I did request more reinforcements the proper response for Larry would be to disband everything once they arrived.  As it stands Larry has no clear choice as to whether to continue his offensive or pack it up.

The zoomed-out view shows that the concentration of my units seems to be in
the south part of the country:

I used the NVA 271st B Reg to chase some airborne engineers across the border
into Cambodia thus incuring a border violation:

I used the NVA 48th Reg to overrun Ho Duc and kept pushing the ARVN regional
forces unit to the southwest:

Allied Turn 24, Dec 1966 -

NLF forces are really holding their own, and I've started to see some U.S. units evaporate in unfavorable battles.  I might have to reverse myself and call in more troops, but there is one more thing I'll try first.

I had previously declared a strategic bombing campaign because I was planning on hitting the HCM trail with heavy raids, and I needed the LRRP spotters to locate the targets.  I will instead divert those bombers to Interdiction and Combat Support.  Just to make sure the effect is felt I've declared Free Fire for the next turn.  If Larry wants to continue with these shenanigans he'll have to pay.

As for the results for this turn I left a lot of units on board.  I need to cut back on the risky attacks and be satisfied with containing a unit instead of always having to eliminate it.

I'm looking at this chart after I've moved everything I'm going to move and so all
the Allied interdiction that's going to take place has already and this is the number
roughly speaking, of the Allied planes shot down this turn so far. It's less than 28
of course but maybe 14 or so might not be far off:
