I would be greatly interested in said purchase...unfortunately I have just obtained a small bag of rare beans that I'm told have magical properties. I'm gonna be rich!

Purchasing the Statue of Liberty for 12 grand might seem like a bargain, but try selling it, and see what happens!

Regarding the magic beans, I'd have a comment or two about that as well, but I stumbled upon this restaurant in a forest where it was all you could eat for free (including the building, which was made out of ginger bread, of all things!).  Well, it wasn't false advertising.  You literally could eat as much as you liked, but there was a catch.  I'm too embarrassed to reveal what the catch is at this time, but suffice it to say that I don't recommend the restaurant.
