I'm using the PT boats as bait to get the Jap planes to fly so I can shoot them down:

And the air threat from the Saigon area is still very real. I've still got to hug the coast and better yet would be to evacuate those ships.

I've got a crippled ship that I would like very much to dock at Wake but there's trouble headed toward Wake in the form of at least one TF
and maybe more. I've got backup at Wake in the form of surface ships and there's still two carriers I can call on so maybe I should only
temp. divert my course slightly and still make a landing at Wake.

I'm installing an AVP at Sorong and just to my north is lots of Jap traffic and I'm wondering how much longer it'll be safe to park an AVP
at Sorong. Maybe not long. For now I'll let her park at Sorong.

It's looking like tomorrow Pearl will receive a 73K slug of fuel from SFO. This is the first TF to reach Pearl from SFO if I'm not mistaken.
So it took something like 11 days to put a TF together, load it up, and get it to Pearl.

TF 340 is a tanker I want to send to Java to harvest some of that fuel that the refinery has been churning out. Move it to Darwin and
down the east coast of Oz if possible. I can see how important it was to the Jap to isolate Oz from any supplies from SEI as soon as
possible because Oz depends on outside supplies and fuel to function. It's helpless w/o outside supplies and fuel. I can also see the
attraction Oz is as a target. Starve it for a year and then just walk in and take over, almost. I'll try that in my game w/ Jim. See what
happens.

Also, how much longer can I make the transit from SEI to Darwin? I've got Jap traffic ( upper right ) and it's headed this way and might I
add, it's possible that one of those ships is a CVE. Looking for juicy targets. So I gotta keep my traffic away from all that as long as I can.

A few of my subs have gotten beat up a bit over these last few days. I have most of the broken ones headed for Singapore to get fixed.
I'm using Manila less and less because I don't expect operations there to proceed w/o disruption or air strikes or something. Singapore
is almost as good as a base as Manila. It's a little off the beaten path as most of the action is happening in the PI. Although more and
more action is happening on the coast of Borneo at Miri.

Okay.....I ended the turn again and these are fresh combat results:

Here's the first sub attack in which something gets hit. There's been a lot of inconsequential attacks where everybody misses and here's
the first one where a ship actually really catches a hit.

And then there was this night raid on Alor Star:

And then there was a night raid on Georgetown:

And then a bunch of other stuff happened and then there was this sub attack near Pearl:

And the Japs invaded Wake again, this time with a force that was way way too small.

And then my boys find two Jap ships and sink them:

And here's evidence that the Japs are sliding southward toward Tulagi with their big guns. Time to retreat and live to fight another day.

And then this happens at Wake:
