Here is the final positons with D strength shown.

My lower right tank army is used to rout the far east German infantry division.

They are held back from deeper incursions as I may need them next turns to hit his right flank
They cannot be sacrificed.

I continue to rr in better troops from other fronts to keep up strenght.

Final Boguchar area. Retreat and shift west.

Tamboy area.. Lower right has another tank army building up with first mech corp.

with rivers partially frozen Silly will have large cross river MP's next turn.

I have accounted for almost all his armor on a review.
EXCEPT I only see the SS Viking division. I cannot, atm, locate his other ss divisions.

And I am not clear how many of these he has at this point. They are the next turn wild card.

Maybe, maybe, they are still on rr moving this way or are here and being used as reserve knockout force.

Horrible Russian loss with fort2 rough hex. Supposed to anchor area.

One thing I've noticed I've started to kill many more German bombers.

although I did do an air superiority attack near Moscow on my turn and lost over 32 fighters to no Germans. (I am too embarrassed to post photo view)

I continue to harass.

Here I rescue tank corp.

I end up wishing I had some good infantry further south to support the Guards tank army down there.

The GD division now anchors the German position.

I have good d fort line behind but must attack and start bleeding these German troops

There was a ripe hex with 2 hq's and a 1/3 split inf div just below my trapped tank corp

The German casualties in this rout, some units already retreated, are atrocious.

Knowing I had more work to do on the east side, I shift attention west.

I look and see a path to cut off over 12 to 13 German tank and mech divisions in the spear tip.

First was to retreat this division into correct spot.

I surround the 12-24 German inf division in the forest hex. I will rout it out. IT MUST GO!

Area here, just east of the Uza river, is important.

I need to keep him out until his infantry arrives to makes it impossible.


The split tank div just below the river is stacked with panzer tank corp hq (it reads hq 3?5) and I also want to get that hex if possible.

The rout. Used up my infantry around here with this attack.

I hold back my Guards Infantry corp from this attack. it's mp is 15.

If I can get a free route to the 3 = 4 iii split mech div just sw of my trapped units, it could advance far enough to attempt two hasty attacks
Problem is retreating other units to the correct hexes.

I get a good retreat direction for this battle.

I end up advancing the guard corp to hit the mech division in the way. This is the second of its' retreat.
I had no other troops sufficient to reach area.

I will advance a weak tank corp into the breach which will attempt the rescue attack.

I attack from inside and out

I then try the right side of the pocket to at least get in supply.

Here another hasty loss. My Cav corp got into spot with mp 5 left.

I felt there was no way to attack the flanks to open up clear rout to the attacking hex.

My back up plan of full attack with Guards tank corp works.[:'(]
