Goodbye Yamato....

Several game days since last update.......and non-stop action.......
I'll be brief....
Three Nights ago Yamato and escorts engaged 6 allied SAGs........sinking 1CA.....2CL and 6....DD....and badly damaging 2 BBs....but the Royal Sov./ Resolution and Warspite....hit Yamato and cut her speed ....so when dawn came....allied torpedo planes hit Yamato 4 times....she rolled over and sank with all hands at 09:37.......we also lost a CL and several Destroyers in this action........
The next day another SAG hit Soerabaja.........sinking anothe CA and a CL.....and dueling with 2 US BBs ....our 3 BBS escaped...but will need yard time......we lost another 3 destroyers....
Then Lew was away....... and I was in charge of our 6 carrier TF.....I was determined to keep up the pressure that Lew was applying.....so I refueled them and moved in to kill the 3 badly damaged BBs at Soerabaja......
Sadly allied airpower....hit our Air combat group...Badly damaging Junyo and hitting 2 others......though none should sink they will all need extensive yard time....
No air stikes flew from our carriers....I have no idea why......
Java seems far from our grasp.......

Was it allied CVs that hit the 6 carrier TF? Or land based stuff?

i realize you are merely the spokespenguin for your team, but still, i must dedicate this "Ode to Operation Resolve" to you (best hummed/sung to Laura Branigan's "Gloria"):
Fabertong, they've got you on the run now
Running after convoys, you gotta get them somehow
I think you've got to slow down before you start to blow it
I think you're headed for a meltdown, but be careful not to show it
You really don't remember, was it something on The Thread?
Are the voices in your head calling, Fabertong?
Fabertong, are your VPs fallin'?
If you are a winnin', why are their bombers callin'?
You don't have to answer
Leave them hangin' on the line, oh-oh-oh, calling Fabertong
Fabertong (Fabertong), I think they got your number (Fabertong)
I think they found the bunker (Fabertong) that you've been living under (Fabertong)
But you really don't remember, was it something on The Thread?
Are the voices in your head calling, Fabertong?
A-ha-ha, a-ha-ha, Fabertong, how's it gonna go down?
Will you meet them on the high seas, or will you catch them on the rebound?
Will you sink them in the morning, or sink them later in the afternoon?
Feel Yamato slipping away, don't believe it's comin' back soon
And you really don't remember, was it something on The Thread?
Are the voices in your head calling, Fabertong?
Fabertong, don't you think you're stallin'?
If all your planes are flyin', why aren't your bombs a fallin'?
You don't have to answer
Leave them hangin' on the line, oh-oh-oh, calling Fabertong
Fabertong (Fabertong), I think they've got your number (Fabertong)
I think they found the iceberg (Fabertong) that you've been hiding under (Fabertong)
But you really don't remember, was it something on The Thread?
Are the voices in your head calling, Fabertong?
(Fabertong, Fabertong, Fabertong, Fabertong, Fabertong)
(Fabertong, Fabertong, Fabertong, Fabertong, Fabertong)

As in the Thread...thanks again Robert....Gloria.....arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh......it's all coming back like a bad dream......
We should start a sweepstake as to when the allies will win FnL.........My money is on Feb. 1944......but it could be sooner.....esp. now that I've lost the Junyo........I think next time Lew goes away he might ask Scott to mind the fort........I think the Allies will be looking for a new player soon as Tom Hunter has decided to leave the allied team (he will be missed, a worthy advisary)......
We lost another 75 aircraft Today.........ouch.
And the team scores are within a couple of hundred points ....us just ahead on 17,400ish....allies 17,200ish...
It's the lost ships section that is a hard read with the allies having double the points.......
and I don't even look at the aircaft stats........

DANISH SCHOOL CHILDREN BEAT OFF ATTACK BY STRANGE PENGUINS
AP – Copenhagen June 13, 2006 12:10 p.m.
Danish schoolchildren armed with cap guns and toy walkie-talkies managed to beat off an attack at their school by hordes of confused penguins.
The penguins (apparently of the Emperor species made familiar in recent nature movies) were wearing bedraggled WW2-style Japanese uniforms. The origin and purpose (if any) of the penguins were not immediately apparent, and the confusion was increased because few of the penguins could speak or understand Danish. A few bystanders on the scene that could understand English claimed the penguins made squawks that sounded like “Milo” and “Fear and Loathing”.
The penguins were repulsed by the doughty gradeschoolers without losses to themselves. The birds were last seen swimming furiously out to sea, apparently in pursuit of a leader penguin in a tight-fitting Japanese Field Marshall’s uniform. Witnesses claim the penguins were last seen swimming towards the English coast.
