No images, but more on the SU-57:
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... er-war-we/
"Voice of America, which is working to verify the footage, added that if the mission was real, “it would mark a significant addition to Moscow’s firepower in a theater of war that now features a dizzying array of competing forces and increased military involvement by outside sponsors.”"
In other news - on the Intel chip issue that surfaced in January:
"The Wall Street Journal had reported that Intel notified several other companies, including some Chinese businesses, about the flaw before telling national security officials."

After nearly 10 years, those angry Chinese people commented to the world suddenly becomes much more reasonable. World changes a lot quicker and less predictable than ever since. If war scenario involved with China is a common trope in 2008, then better not predict the outcome with real timeline in 2018.

My hypothetical 2025s CMANO campaign I am making is wasted. Thank you Emperor Xi.

EDIT: After few days of observations from forums and other journals, mostly people are just response with historical examples of tyranny and the catastrophic consequences when Nixon and Reagan aided the effort to China's success and ambitions. Only few comments actually saying what both US and China lack of is no matter whom is in power, or their duration of rules, are no direct relation to ancient history, but rather the consensus of global orders and development plans.
Without these consensus, conflicts and (cold) wars may ensures, especially under the global distaste of tyranny that actually needs more than 5 years to built for the leader's success. If that is true, then I don't have to rewrite the story script a lot.

If that is true, that could explain why a particular country was willing to 'waste' 3 million dollars to stop the same threat a year ago:

I know radar ranges are ever contested, and usually don't write about it to avoid irresoluble feuds.
But the last week discovered one or some Korean Wikipedia editors have detailed some radar ranges compilations and number of T/R modules (From OSINT) on many radar types entries on Korean Wikipedia:
https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/SPY-1
And here Chinese radar ranges (Obviously South Koreans are very interested on it!):

(Sorry, I will add this post on the adequate platform database thread).

I mentioned about Type 346/A radars long time ago, even today nobody knows about their performance, and I saw some heated discussions compare to SPY-1. The only confirmation is 346/A are AESA, and the game did gave them better jammimg-resistence than SPY-1. However, many doubts were casted due to the smaller energy usage compare to SPY-1, as well as the powerplant in 052C/D are subpar to Burke, many analysts suggests they are at best have the same range, if Type 346 may incur some inferior outputs.
That's why the new 055 destroyer have a slightly bigger Type 346A than old one from 052D, thanks by richly provided powerplants. Yet, it's too soon to tell how far it can detect even the "output issue" has been solved. I remember thewood1 mentioned why Chinese were hesitant to install new sensors, and one of the reason could be the energy deficiency.

A rather gutsy strategy to say the least:
http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hi ... rd%20Brief
However, I see some scenario ideas in siming the implementation. I can not envision downing transports in the air full of passengers. But knocking out a few on the ground once off-loaded might send a "virtual message" to Tehran.

It's a great opportunity to study what exactly happened to her demise. Nowadays a sunken warship like this would be a global headline for months.
---------------------
For some jet fighter enthusiasts and audiophiles, the 'music' of F-135 would be their wet dreams. But for some residents and potential enemies, that 'noise' would gives more trouble to F-35, compare to the debacle level from F-16:

---------------------
War can be as cruel as it's impression. Iraqi CH-4B is serviced for 3 years and achieved nearly 100% effectiveness against over 200 targets, and still the media just rated it "Pretty Good". Is 200% effectiveness shall be qualified as "Excellent"?

An interesting read:
NATO needs a new Maritime Strategy for its Northern Flank.
https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/nato-ne ... ern-flank/
"
Although the odds would hardly be overwhelmingly in favour of the UK formation, a Royal Navy carrier group (supported by escorts from Northern European navies, submarines and land based aircraft) positioned between Iceland and Scotland on the main GIUK gap route into the North Atlantic would represent a formidable obstacle to any Russian submarines or maritime strike aircraft seeking to interdict NATO’s SLOC."
Now there's a scenario waiting to be built!
