Summary.
(1) In addition to flipping targets (ground & air), the ground strikes were also used as fighter sweeps to degrade, disorganize the Luftwaffe in order of the allies to gain air superiority and eventually supremacy.
(2) 27 ground strikes total, 46 German land & air targets struck.
(3) 18 of those 27 targets flipped (66.7%) vs 18 expected (-1.9).
(4) 8 of 15 Luftwaffe (& minor axis allies) air wings were shot down (53.3%), 1 of 10 of those pilots killed.
(5) 5 of 7 surviving air wings disorganized.
(6) 2 of 11 organized Luftwaffe (& minor axis allies) bomber wings disorganized.
(7) Though the Luftwaffe has 9 pilots in their reserve pool, they have no fighter & bombers wings in their reserve and only 2 fighter wings currently under production.
(8) I'd have to characterize the allied fighter sweeps this impulse as highly successful and their ground strikes as modestly successful.
(9) The allies still have work to do to whittle down the Luftwaffe more; especially their bomber force.
(10) But the way to best get to the bombers is to knock their fighters down.

(1) With the Soviet flank in the Middle East secure now for some time, the Western begin their FULL withdrawal from Soviet held Iraq and Persian.
(2) Partisans in this area is no longer a concern for the Western Allies.
(3) The Western Allies leave the Soviet controlled objective cities Baghdad & Tehran ungarrisoned against Partisans.
(4) In fact, partisan(s) spawning and denying control of either of these objective cities for final scoring (end of next turn) would NOT bother the Western Allies one bit.
(5) Some might suggest that the Western Allies are actually hoping for such.
