File clerk, among a great many other things. I took on as many additional tasks as possible, both to satisfy my own need to do more stuff, and in a vain hope that maybe, just maybe, it could lead to permanent employment. It didn't.

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Terminus
Nope. 12 month standard contract, and that's it.

It's okay. I knew the rules of the game from day 1, and I take a lot of personal satisfaction from the quality of work I've shown.
I've handled tens of thousands of patient files, on paper and electronically, talked to thousands of patients face-to-face and on the phone, assisted doctors and nurses at three different departments in-house and at several other hospitals and private practitioners, trained five other people to do the job and done that well...
The list is endless. I saw a statistic for the hospital the other day, where the average percentage of sick days for the whole hospital was 6.6%. Over the past 12 months, I've had exactly ZERO sick days.
Like I said, I'm happy with my performance. I haven't done it for salary (which wasn't high) and haven't done it to please any of my co-workers (although that's been successfully accomplished many times over). I've done it so I could look at myself in the mirror at the end of the work day and think "good job".

And that is good and nice! [:)]
Also it was very much worth to have that job in your resume!

You guys do realize the NFL starts the regular season this week................real football[:D]

[:'(]
Who's your team, Bruce? I've always been a Browns fan, and always will be. [:D]
Having grown up 300 miles from the nearest NFL team I don't really have one. I just wanted to start a friendly discussion[:D]
Well, it worked and the arguments ensued. [:D]

Sorry to hear about that T. But, all things happen for a reason. There's something else out there. You just don't know about it yet.

i can't believe this: some things would be unfair or without explanation from a kind of fate or destiny. THe ugly always get right. The good always lose.... This, or destiny is just a silly and dark joke [:-]
i more think about absolute random...
Edit: this comment is NOT a direct attack on Mike thoughts. It is more a comment on my own believing. I intend to offense nobody !
