I may start posting quite posting a lot pretty soon or I may stop posting.
I'm just start hoping quite hoping a lot hoping that your posts don't develop a delirium-like loss of grammatical structure. One of the first signs of COVID-19 I'm led to believe.

I desperately wanted a positive test for bragging rights and to get two weeks off for my staff and me. [:)]
What's the worst that could happen to you if you misspelled Pakistan "C-H-I-N-A" on your test request? After you got the presumptive positive then you could amend the paperwork.
ETA: If it meant anything in terms of patient outcome and I had to decide 'bureaucracy versus patient outcome' that's an easy choice. I think you probably feel the same. The bureaucracy can sit and spin.

I'll remember this the next time I visit my doctor..."I just came back from that country where they have all the cases of that whatever-it-is...yea right, it was China". Bound to get priority treatment that way.
Do they have pretty young nurses in quarantine?

Self-inflicted limitations. The development and production of test kits was delayed by denial that the problem could reach the US. Not enough kits to go around is the reason for strict criteria for use. Britain has drive-through self testing. I presume the driver pays a fee to cover the cost.

When I was in an isolation room, the nurses did not have to dress like that. Before that, I had some pretty [:'(] nurses - unfortunately they were already married.
Of course, later on some pretty young ladies would come into my room and would take my room mates pants and undergarments off . . . [X(][X(]

I'm not asking why the present situation exists. I'm asking why-as the end user that is ultimately responsible for patient outcomes-another 'workaround' isn't considered.

Nope, the pretty young ladies worked for so much an hour. None of them turned down my offer of candy . . . [:D]
Their job title? Certified Nursing Assistant. [;)]

So I bought some "asparagus crowns" (that is what they are called) because my existing plants are getting long in the tooth and it would be nice to have some fresh vegetables on day 42 of the quarantine. It said "guaranteed to grow!" on the package.
I work the soil...plant them 2 inches down just like it says..and I put the "crowns" just sticking above the ground. Then I go in to work this morning..."you know, those white things kinda look like roots?"

In Germany they grow the asparagus a bit and then cover the (still rooted} spikes in loose soil so they lose their green colour in a few days. They dig them out and sell them to restaurants for "spargle" (SP?), a delicate, tender asparagus usually served with a white sauce. Delicious! [:)]

Unfortunately, no. I always showered myself although I did need to have help to put a plastic back on my right foot which was healing after surgery. I supposed I could post a picture for Zorch . . .

You can also cover them in straw. I would not use hay because of the grass seeds. No, not that kind of GRASS!

I'd love to see it, but I decided to contract COVID-19 instead.
