Turn 36. Jul/Aug 1945. Allied #6. Asian Theater.

End of Impulse.
(1) MacArthur was railed to Nanchang, China to set up and command an airbase there with runways long enough and facilities sufficient to support two B-29 Superfortress bomber wings.
(2) 2 B-29 Superfortress bomber wings, air and ground crews move from Pusan, Korea to the newly improved airbase in Nanchang.
(3) Nanchang is 12-hexes from Chunking, normal range of both B-29 air wings.
(4) Assuming the turn continues to another allied impulse (70% chance) these two bomber wings used for ground strike will have a 70% chance of flipping the isolated (non-elite) Chunking defending warlord band.
(5) This gives a minimum 49% (70% x 70%) that Chunking will be liberated this turn.
(6) Even if the ground strike misses, the assault may still be ordered depending on the assault odds.
(7) Thus the 50/50 or even 60/40 estimate given at the start of the turn of being able to liberate Chunking by turn's end is turning out to be pretty darn accurate.
(8) FYI. The real reason for railing MacArthur into China was to get the FTC needed to move the two B-29 bomber wings to China.

(1) USAAF P-61 and RN Vildebeest rebased to theater and AUS Beau Fighter/Bomber reorg.
(2) The Western Allies are in EXCELLENT position to capture Ankara next (allied) impulse, knock Turkey out of the war and achieve complete conquest of Germany.
(3) The only "fly in the ointment" is the 30% chance that the turn will end next (axis) impulse with both Germany and Japan passing.

(1) Well, you can do all the planning and execute that planning well; but you can't control the weather and can't control the end of turn; especially when the other side is passing. Partisans.

(3) This will definitely be an interesting end; especially when it comes to the conquest phase.

(1) I haven't decide yet if I'm going to continue after finishing this turn's end of turn.
(2) I'm providing data now, but plan on doing a deeper dive, analysis of it all.
(3) I do welcome any and all comment as I start pouring over and trying to summarize the 8562 log entries I've made so far.
(4) Though, I'm am a bit left wanting for the total conquest of Germany being so, oh so close, to knocking Turkey out.
(5) Japan, well that's a different story.
(6) I definitely don't have the desire to slug through an invasion and attempted conquest of the home islands.
(7) But, first I'm going to finish this turn's end of turn as the conquest phase will definitely be interesting.
