Nah I'm just interested more in the literaure and culture than some Universal Grammar principles or Language Acquisition Devices being part of his Nativist Theory or his Minimalist Syntax approach...[:'(]

Well, some time in the middle of the night, one niece arrived for a visit (plane delayed, i think) - and most of the rest of her family arrives in another week...[X(] So, we'll have at least 4 visitors (i am not sure which of the 7 are arriving... work, etc. dictates who is coming.)

The Vigintisexviri (sing. vigintisexvir) was a college (collegium) of minor magistrates (magistratus minores) in the Roman Republic; the name literally means "Twenty-Six Men". The college consisted of six boards.
In the Republic, the Vigintisexvirate had served as a stepping stone for the sons of senators to begin their own public careers the cursus honorum; Julius Caesar had served as curator viarum and restored parts of the Via Appia. In AD 13, however, the Senate passed a senatus consultum restricting the reduced Vigintivirate to the Equestrians.
