Imperial defense base. Used in situations where some protection is deemed wiser than none.

Imperial small space port. There is one of these over nearly every major Imperial colony.

Imperial large space port. In orbit over the most important locations. Current Fleet doctrine mandates battlefleet support everywhere there is a space port- with only a few exceptions.

Civilian gas mining station. These are being massively redesigned now that Vilmuueni 3 allows for even more military maintenance spending.

Now that the action is heating up quite a bit, the frequency of postings might slow down a bit. I am being very careful as things move forward.

Just wanted to throw at there:

I am to the end of December 2413 and while there are two or three trouble spots the majority of fights are going better than expected. Still, it is only a couple of months into it, so still withholding final judgement. It does seem as the new defense doctrine is working, though.

Dhurien Prime about to fall to the Naxx.

Tefnyl 2 will fall; Imperial counterattacks are about to begin.

All the colonies in the Dantuueni system will be taken by the enemy, but here also the Naxx force is not sufficient to stop the incoming counterattacks.. unless the Naxx can maintain space superiority.

Jasulon is the last one of the Imperial colonies that are primed to fall as of this writing.
